Very difficult to add to what has already been said. This is one of the best CS Sites we have stayed on. Big hardstanding pitches a very warm welcome from Jeff and an absolutely spotless little toilet block. Brilliant and lots to do in the areaView all reviews by simonfknight
Had a lovely 3 night stay at this site. Pitches are hardatanding with a grass area for awnings. Two tariffs depending on electric requirement.View all reviews by carolw0403
Site has shower and toilet facilities with are immaculately kept and even has a washing up area.
Site is in a great location with a lovely walk along Hadrians wall accessed from the Sill visitors centre which is a 2 mile walk away.
Jeff's (owner) communication from point of booking and throughout stay was excellent and he even delivered fresh eggs from his farm free upon our arrival.
This site is exactly what we love about CS/CL sites and Jeff is the perfect host.
A must stay!
Couple with 2 dogs in a motorhome. What a lovely welcome from Jeff the owner. He spent ages talking to my husband Jeff about all manner of useful information. We also received fresh eggs. The site is grass and hard standing with good views over the hills and fields. It's quite close to the A69 but we were not disturbed by it. Ideal for visiting Hadrian's Wall. There's good dog walks from the site including a walk down to Bardon Mill where we took the bus to Haltwhistle. The train stops there, too. The facilities are excellent. One of the shower/ toilets was suitable for disabled. Lots of books, dvds, information available. Excellent recycling. There's goats and donkeys. £19 with ehuView all reviews by JudithBT
A lovely small site, large level and well spaced pitches. Two toilets and two showers, although not heated. Having young children, we appreciated the locked gate and straight line set up. It meant we could let them play/cycle without worry of cars passing by. The animals were a great source of entertainment and it was a lovely easy walk to the play area in the village. I definitely recommend a stop in the tea room and shop for a coffee and cake. The 695 bus passes through bardon mill so easy access west or east if you dont want to move your motorhome. All in all, a clean, good value for money site. There is noise from the a69, but it didnt trouble us.View all reviews by lricha9909
What a beautiful view to wake up to on Christmas morning. Jeff is a character and extremely helpful-greets you with 6 fresh eggs from his rare breed hens. In summer he has donkeys, sheep and hens in the fields surrounding the site for children to see. Flat hard standing pitches with electricity, spotless showers/toilets with water and waste disposal for £16 a night. Peaceful location close to Hadrians wall and pub just a short walk away. Lovely park and dog walks nearby. Lovely!!View all reviews by andyrichy
Great stopover. Stayed 2nights, included a cycle up to Hadrians Wall, also visited the Sill....interesting place. Nice showers all the usual facilities, a little noise from the main road but nothing major. Great views though. Owner was nice, stayed for about 20mins for a chat, would definitely use again.View all reviews by mike7692

Cracking little CS site just off the A69 but very little traffic noise. Short walk to village with pub and small store, 2 miles from Vindolanda Roman fort . The site is all hard standing with EHU there is a very well kept little toilet block with toilet and shower and toilet and shower for disabled use. Chemical toilet disposal. On booking you will be given a code for the gate lock for when you arrive. On arrival you phone Jeff or Sheila and they will be along later to collect the money. We paid £15 for the night which included a free box of fresh free range eggs !View all reviews by ilikeboarding
