Superb site, just 5 motorhome pitches Two of which are fully serviced, also small stopover pitches near Reception.View all reviews by pvw10
Riverside mostly and you can hear it which is most pleasant, and quite loud.
Facilities are old but spotless, no issues at all there.
TV no signal but on the serviced pitch we had an aerial point which worked well.
Walks around are superb, for Dogs its amazing as over the bridge below the site and your straight into the woods and can access the Tarka Trail, onto to Watersmeet for a Coffee, then follow the river into Lynmouth for lunch, then up to Lynton for a look around, then back to thr camp, about 8 miles.
Enjoy, great location with lovely owners.
I have been to this site many times over the years, but this is the first time in about 8 years.View all reviews by ChristianLewis4
The pitches are well kept and the location is superb with a stream running through the site.
The shower block, including tiling and basins and the same outdated ones from years ago. However they are clean enough and were cleaned regulatly for coronavirus.
This is still one of my fabourite campsites due to its wonderful location and will be definitely be going back again.
We had a lovely stay here. We had a riverside pitch which was fabulous. The showers were dated but that was the only negative. The owner/manager was very helpful. Lynton is a short walk and has a few nice restaurants. Would stay here again.View all reviews by Squelch
The shower cubicles are probably the worst I have ever seen, shower curtains so out dated and not enough room to strip shower and get dressed without everything getting wet.View all reviews by deangss
loved the site and location friendly and helpful staff but for me one to stay away from.
Mid age couple 5m Campervan with drive away awning.View all reviews by TLthunder
Squeezed in mid week and got a sml hard standing pitch by the entrance, thankfully we had the small awning with us as we only just managed to pitch, needed rock pegs. Site is clean, welcoming hosts and even with the road running alongside quiet at night. Good walks from the site. we walked to Watersmeet then along the coastal path, a ride on the funicular railway and around the Valley of Rocks, was a fantastic day out. Thai restaurant and micro brewery is to die for, sooo good.
Small criticism would have to be the toilet/showers are dated and reminded us of a council run public lav from the 70's. saying that showers were free and hot.
Couldn'fault this site for facilities, location cleanliness and prettieness. One of the best pitches and views we've had. Wardens are friendly and helpful. Pub just at the end of the site. small cafe and shop on site. No vodafone or digital aerial signal but you can purchase club WiFi and if you have a long aerial lead there is a analogue point on pitch. Town is lovely and only a short walk. Funicular train is a must to try. Just been on a lovely walk... Exit the campsite at the bottom by the gates /pub. Over the bridge to the forest. Follow signs to watersmeet. down into Lynmouth. get the funicular up to lynton, left and follow path to valley of rocks. Awsome. Walk roadside back to site.View all reviews by eva1234
I love small sites like this and this is one of my favourites. The location is superb with some wonderful walks. Theres a pub at the bottom of the site too. Showers could do with an upgrade the last time I was there, but thats about it.View all reviews by ChristianLewis4
I stayed here just for one night and it was pleasant enough with friendly and helpful staff. It was £18 for one night, for one adult and a campervan. Set in a valley, it was a roadside location though the road was not busy & on the other side of the site was a babbling river which was a lovely sound to chill out to! The facilities were good and clean with a café for brekky, which I didn't use, so can't comment. Next door there is a lovely country pub with a Thai restaurant in; fantastic food!View all reviews by embu
Lovely campsite, been many times over the yearsView all reviews by marke
Just spent 4 nights here and enjoyed every minute. Nice and quiet we were on pitch 19 (camper pitch right on the river side) the camper service points are all handy for the pitches making the mucky stuff easier to deal with. TV points a must if you need a daily fix, just use and extension co-ax of get one from reception. Staff could not be friendlier and the breakfast in the cafe at £6 was well worth it. If I wanted to find fault I suppose the toilets and showers were a bit cramped but freeView all reviews by martink
Been here many times over the years and is one of my favourite sites. When I got a 24' Caravan I stopped going. I still have Caravan, but am converting a van to a campervan, so will be going back soon.View all reviews by marcandsebe
I love the location with the stream running through the site and the walk over to Watersmeet is a must.
Looking forward to my return.
