Nice location but not available for much longer as the national park has decieded to stop overnight stops due to misuse by some. There are signs by the entrance (but not very clear which went up on 1st of January) and there are according to locals plans to put in a barrier of some sort. We did stay overnight with no problems and had an excellent meal at the pub who i think were not to impressed with the possible future loss of trade.

Sadly a sign now says no overnight parking. This went up early Jan. Height barrier going up soon. Such a shame as we would spend money in the local area.

A lovely spot soon to be unavailable for overnight stays. A sign went up on the 1st January and the locals informed us there will also be a barrier in the near future. We took a chance and had a great meal at the pub and stayed overnight but dont think we will be able to repeat.

Brilliant place to stay for 1 night. It rained all night but was quiet and peaceful, had a nice but soggy walk along the path, with stunning views. Toilets are basic but are open 24hrs.
Will stay again.

Visited late December.
New signs in place stating no overnight stays so we respected this and ventured on a few miles to Morfa Mawddach.

Fantastic site, loved it!
5 vans parked up the one night i stayed
Honesty box i bunged a fiver in as £1 suggested donation is a bit stingy.
Busy with cars coming n going but generally quiet despite that. Well until a large MoHo turned up with 4 yappy little dogs in who barked at anyone who walked past or anyone closing their doors. People in the moho didnt appear to bother calming the dogs down or keeping them from looking out their moho windows. Please if you cant calm your dogs down park well away from other vehicles or at least dont let them look out the windows! Keep your blinds/curtains up, as your dogs cursing at passers bys isnt fair

Nice spot need to park on waterside, if you can find a space, and use overhang for units over 6m. Nice pub and excellent cycle track 6 miles or so to Barmouth. Honesty box for parking goes to upkeep of Mawddach Trail

Nice stop over spot. Busy with cyclists and campervans. Perhaps 6 vans overnight. Pub serves a few real ales and a few to take out in bottles ;). Toilets open and working plus loo roll. Can’t complain as a great stop for a donation in the slate plynth. Worth noting that there are many carparks dotted along the cycle route which may be less busy.

Larger motorhomes may stuggle with parking area.

Fabulous. Free car park with about 20 spaces, (donations in slot in slate plinth) right next to estuary so fabulous views. Public toilets available, open all night, not the best but functional. Pub on doorstep with awesome views, quality food, but not particularly cheap, beer £3.70 pint, gin and tonic £5.40. Fish and chips £13, pie and chips £13. Walks right from the doorstep inc. a long 12m hike to Cader Idris which we did with 4 dogs.

Lovely views of the estuary, nice level tarmac car park. We're in a 8m coachbuilt and although a bit tight, if you're a confident driver you'll be o.k. Nothing to do in the area other than walk / cycle paths into Barmouth. Six Campers here last night, no problems.

First of all the spaces were ok for our T4 with a tow bar cycle rack but not much longer. Very peaceful spot and I had a chat with a very nice lady who lived nearby, she said that its been full on a weekend but no problems so far. Monday night there was just one other van. Slept like a log then we all cycled onto Barmouth for the day. There is a slot in the big piece of slate opp the loo for your donation. Disabled loo is the best.

Great spot, it's a bit tight for anything over 7m I should think. Toilets are serviceable if not especially pleasant :-) The sign asking for a donation is missing.

Lovely place, great for walking and cycling. Nice view of the river. If you stick to the main road you don't need to use the toll bridge so weight not an issue. My satnav wanted me to turn off to the left just before the carpark, maybe the post code.

Great spot right by a lovely off road cycling route Mawddach Trail which follows the old railway route from Dolgellau into Barmouth

Right beside George 3rd pub (fairly expensive!!) but nice food

Toilets available as part of the cycle route.

Please don’t overstep a couple of nights and MAKE SURE ALL YOU DROP IS A DONATION INTO THE HONESTY BOX

Stayed one night in May 2018.Very pleasant time and quiet night.Plenty of people around to walk or cycle the Mawdach trail. There is a honesty box for motorhomes staying overnight.
Public loo functional but not particularly nice. Beautiful view.
Note, there is I believe a radon gas sampling station near the loo which hums gently, best avoided if you can
Quite tight but we managed ok with a 7m by using our ramps to lift our rear overhang over the grass verge.
George the 3rd pub nearby.

Great little spot by the toll bridge & over looking the estuary, toilets are available they were very clean but basic no soap or hand dryer, all they ask is for you to leave a donation in the honesty box.
There is also the george III hotel/pub we were here on sunday & after a fabulous walk along the mawddach trail we made our way back & they do a fantastic sunday carvery for £10, highly recommend that.

Gem of a place, nicely tucked away just off the A493 near the toll bridge. Lovely views, toilets and a pub , what more do you need. An honesty box for campers for up keep of the toilets. Located on an old railway line that hugs the coast which is part of the Mawddach trail, found this by accident but glad we did.

Love this place. RSPB car park with honesty box for donations if staying overnight. Toilets are basic but kept clean - no lights on at night so take a torch. Local pub is pretty The George. Landlord not very accommodating! But he's known for it.
Great dog walk or cycle along the Mawddach Trail to Barmouth or 3.5miles to Dolgellau and it's lovely pubs houses and shops. Ty Seren b&b is well worth a visit!
