outstanding in this time of social distancing.... The lake, the location and tranquility was great. A bit cold at night due to the temperature dropping to 6c but nature is to blame for that. The price for fishing and camping is very fair and the lake produced some good fish. Great for a 2/3 day stay due to limited washroom facilities. Just one word of caution TAKE HEAVY DUTY TENT PEGS the ground is hard but that's the lake district for you... The owners are 10 out of 10View all reviews by PaulMcArthur
A lovely tranquil spot in the countryside, especially if you like wildlife. Amazing views of the fishing lakes and hills beyond. Only 5.2 miles from Kendal and not too far from lakes Windermere. We only stayed one night as we were on our way up to Scotland but we'd definately return to this site.View all reviews by BrenPattinson

great value at £10 and we were the only camper their
only about 10/15 min drive from staveley where hawkshead brewery is l, and kendal is not far away either
would definitely stay over again
We stopped overnight on way to lake. £10 for the night. We were only campers there. Nice pull ins around a small lake with lots of birdlife. Owners very friendly. Felt very safe with gated access. Basic loo, but no other facilities. Suited us just fine as we are set up for off grid camping with diesel heater in our camper van, so no need for EHU anyway. We enjoyed the peace and solidtude. Our type of camper vanning :)View all reviews by kajay
Fantastic Spot, very quiet. Secure inside a gated entrance. Unfortunately now no electricity so need to be self propelled! Price this year is £10 per night. Fishing seems to be excellent if your that way inclined.View all reviews by arthur
