Closed in October when we tried as having works done in the car park. Stayed at Firkin point instead further down the shores of loch lomond. Shame as wanted to see the viewpoint!!View all reviews by hannahjones687
If I pay and have a space allocated to me I don't expect to arrive and see all 5 slots full and when I complain others say they have paid yet not one could show there permit ,,I could yet I was not able to park in the correct place,, this is a on going problem as there is no control over who parks and paysView all reviews by lapzer
You need a permit available online between march and oct £3. Cover you between 7pm and 7am. From8 you have to pay daily rate. 50p 1 hour £1 two hours £4 all day. Parking during day is for day visitors who according to signs should leave by 7pm but some were still there at 8. Not sure what happens if theres more and no where for you to park even if youve bought the permit. We still found roomView all reviews by hugsi
Slightly uneven mainly gravel. May get muddy when wet
Next to loch. Toilets said they closed at night but were open whilst we were there
Nice place to stay overnights directly at Loch Lomond. Although it is quite close to the street, it was quiet all night and we had a good sleep. Costs £3 pound to stay here, but this is very fair. The best is to book the pitch upfront. We didn't as we did not know it was necessary and had troubles with the internet than. Luckily we still were able to book it in the end.View all reviews by taw3112

A beautiful setting right by the loch. Very friendly wardens. Buy your permit online in advance to ensure a spot (£3).
Excellent location and very quiet. Pick up for the loch cruises are here.
Toilets available throughout the day officially but actually were open all night as well.
Great location. Not much walking on the shore, but turn out left of the carpark and up past the power station and you are on a trail. Follow the route slightly along the road where it bears up the valley to the right.View all reviews by aleese
Parking is "free" out of season (mar to sep I think) but the cafe and toilets are closed and locked all day so no services at all. I found this on friday during the day and tried again sat daytime but all locked up.
Loch Lomond and Trossachs is now a National Park and permits are required to park overnight here at Inveruglas and most other picnic areas and car parks. The permits have to be bought in advance as you can't get them at the parking machines. www.lochlomond-trossachs.org/camping. It is only £3 a night and can be bought online BUT the phone signal in the area is at best awful, mostly non existent. So buy while you have a good signal.View all reviews by jan614
