Cracking little site, options for CV & MH and tents though reduced during the winter. 10-15 minutes walk to the pub or Glenridding village. Definately coming back as it's perfect for Helvelyn. Facilities are basic but clean and working. Showers are 20p a go which is sensible. Thanks Mary for a great stay.

Spent 2 nights here. Great location nestled into the fells beneath Helvelyn. Facilities a bit dated but adequate. Nice easy walk alongside the river into Glenridding. The site is nice and handy to the Travellers Rest pub which does good food. Would recommend catching the boat to Aira Force NT.

Loved my couple of nights here.
Views are stunning, a lovely stream side walk into Glenridding & slightly further to the Ullswater Steamer dock.
Showers, loos & washing up facilities all good. CDP across the lane at the statics area, at the rear of the toilet block.
No signal on Vodafone or 3, but you can use the free wifi when close to the Ullswater Steamer dock.
Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Idyllic views of Helvellyn . Glenridding 10 minutes walk by the riverside. Ramblers Inn by Ullswater lake a lovely place to eat and chill. Ullswater steamer ferry stop in Glenridding close by. Stayed several times. Owner friendly, showers basic.

Fantastic site, 10min walk into Glenriding, your right on the hellvellyn walk not to mention all the other walks from the site.
Toilets were clean and fersilities were great just what you need.
The site only cost us £10pr night (out of season) but still worth the £20
We will definatly go back.
Yes bit tricky approach but well worth it. They get larger caravans up.

late December 2016, site "not really open" but it cost us just a tenner for 2 of us plus dog. Toilets warm and clean. Dog friendly pub down the road, lots of good walking. Don't park by "rattling beck" or you will be listening to it all night!! Run by lovely friendly people. Very narrow approach road.
