Lovely campite amongst trees next to river. Friendly managers, clean toiletblocks and showers. Easy flat cycle to Aberfoyle where there is well stocked supermarket. Good food in Forth pub. Great choice of cycle routes in forest directly accessed from campsite including 10ml to Kinlochard with lunch at the ‘Wee Blether’ coffee shop.

Well kept site. Very busy with tenters. We went up in the trees so no view. Ok but dont site near toilets as door bangs every time they are used. Including most of the night. Be aware that if electricity wanted it is £6 extra. Also extra for hardstanding. Paid £27.75 with age concession

This site is very much set up for families and we went during half term, so there were a lot of noisy kids around which spoilt the tranquillity of the place. I am assuming during non school holidays there would be peace and quiet. Beautifully situated site right next to River Forth and Queen Elizabeth Forest, there are local quiet walks and a natural environment.
It is a 1 mile walk to the Black Bull pub in Gartmore where the food was great (and there is a shuttlebus to the pub from the campsite leaving at 7pm and 8pm and back at 10pm) It is 2 mile walk (on an excellent tarmac path) to Aberfoyle or- there is also a fairly regular local bus service, you can flag down the bus outside the campsite entrance and take the bus back from the side the tourist information office. Toilets/showers clean and well looked after, welcome from staff very good. Apart from the noisy kids a few pitches were water logged so we had a restricted choice.

Easy access off main road into a medium / large leafy site with surrounding trees. We found the site to be child friendly and about 2 miles from Abefoyle village via a flat cycle path away from main road, where various eateries and shop options can be accessed. Would also recommend the short walk or even shorter drive out the village up the David Marshall Lodge with the stunning scenery of the surrounding Queen Elizabeth Forest Park as well as various well developed walks, waterfall, cafe and even a GoApe with awesome zip wires through the tree tops.
