We have stopped overnight here on a couple of occasions now. Never had any bother with boy racers at all, so sounds like we may have just been lucky. There is a little road noise but its not too bad. Some great views across Loch Lomond, you sometimes get to see a float plane taking off on sightseeing tours. Great big grass area to walk the dog on the lead. No toilets facilities or water services that I know of, but there are a few rubbish bins around that we got rid of our first days rubbish in.

Thought this would be noisy being close to A82 but had a peaceful night. Good dog walking close by, just don't sit on picnic benches in the evening as the midges will get you.

Good overnight stop. Quite a few vans parked on road, no issues, right by Loch and great view in morning. Didn't hear any road noise. No facilities.

Lovely layby with stunning view's. Picnic areas with free benches and tables on a park area . Wouldn't let animals off leashes due to being next to a main road . Now 930pm and you can hear road traffic noise . But what do you want for nothing.
A short journey into Balloch where their is free parking on the left hand side once you go over the bridge. Beutiful wooded area to walk dogs and exercise next to the loch lomond. Balloch train station right in the town along with church and pub's shops

Noisy ... not sure if we just struck unlucky but pulled up just as it was getting dark, lovely view of the loch, nice grassy area for the dog to run around. Just after starting to make some food several cars pulled up, some stopped, all lights all on full beam, some started racing up and down and all had the music on full volume. It would have been quieter to set up camp in a night club. Think you take your chances with this site. We left and carried on traveling north.

Busy lay-by in summer. Can just hear the main road about 100m away. Idiots in pocket-rockets must live close by.
