|The Tan Hill Inn is a very special place, occupying a lonely site, high in the Yorkshire Dales. It is in fact, the highest pub in Great Britain at 1,732ft above sea level. Here you will receive one of the warmest and most friendly welcomes that you could ever wish to find. Countless generations have enjoyed its fine hospitality as an oasis of refreshment and accommodation amidst the beautiful heather-clad purple Pennine moorland capping the numerous green unspoilt Yorkshire dales. It possesses a long and rich history.|

Stayed here last weekend, Lovely time, excellent beer and food. Music sees to be on Friday & Saturday night. They have recently converted a large barn in to a massive function room for holding music and other events. This place is in the middle of know where and is an absolute gem. There is accommodation but they seem to be promoting their Motorhome and Camper van community. Cost is £5.00 per person and goes to a charity, you fill in a charity form with your details at the Bar.View all reviews by scarborough

Very busy and it was a struggle to park but tvats because it was easter weekend with 11 motorhomes there and numerous cars!!
£5 per person per night to charity. £7.95 for full brekkie (really, really nice with toast, cereal, full english and a hot drink). Just order at the bar the night before.

Single track roads with very few passing places to get there, but glad we did it. We were advised to go up to the A66, then down, as easier with motorhome. Parked to side of pub, wet and windy when we were there, but took us and the dogs in for a meal, lovely food and people. Donation in charity box of £5.00 each for overnight stay. Definiately nobody around after the pub closed, only motorhome out the front. An experience!View all reviews by missymoo
Great stopover. Very friendly pub with good food - the lamb henry was to die for. Fantastic breakfast - very tasty black pudding and eggy bread! (would have preferred fried bread though!) Band failed to turn up but a couple of lads who'd played the night before entertained us brilliantly, as did the gang of walkers on the next table. Will definitely visit again.View all reviews by madwitch

The highest pub in Britain. What a view. Friendly staff, good beer. Stayed over for the New Years Eve entertainment and celebrations. Nice walk over to Keld and back New Year's Day. Definitely a must if you have not tried it.View all reviews by proctor122
Stayed here on several occasions, fantastic pub with a good value menu, good selection of ales and a cosy atmosphere. The pub can get busy on a weekend, and so it can be worthwhile arriving a little earlier to guarantee a table. Superb views and flat hard standing parking. The pub does however charge £5 per person for parking outside, with it going to a local charity.View all reviews by snookcycling
