This is our first visit here and its very picturesque and will be coming back when its a bit warmer. Oscar the Jack Russell approves of it too with ample space for him to have a good run round and loads of parking spaces.View all reviews by VICnDAWN
Please note post code given takes you to a farm next to the Harewood Beck river. So had a little a google mapping to do.
If youre coming from High Force Waterfall on the B6277 turn left at before the Langdon Beck Hotel.
Enjoy...

Beautiful spot.... so peaceful at night... I stayed two nights with no problems at all. Had been worried after reading previous post - but now confused as there is no gate to shut? Stayed in a convertible Bipper - 8 large motorhomes also on site... but still peaceful... gorgeous sunsets...View all reviews by rachaelm

Stunning location but......We were turfed off at dusk by some park ranger type in a 4x4 and the gates locked behind us. We were looking forward to a bit of late night astrophotography and seeing the sun come up over the reservoir but looks like this is somewhere else we are no longer wanted. Only us and one other (newish) van there so it wasn't like it was a new age traveller invasion!View all reviews by trickyhicky270

I agree with the previous review, this is a fantastic wildcamping spot. Dark sky, beautiful views of the reservoir and surrounding areas. Slightly sloping, portable toilet but no bins. Highly recommended site. Unfortunately, we chose this area when 'storm Amelia' hit the country and it is rather exposed, but if it wasn't for the rain, wind and Moho wobbling it would've been extremely tranquil. The only nightime visitors were sheep and a couple of owls :) :)View all reviews by stevedeb

Beautiful Place to have a nice wild camping weekend theres a lovely walk to the Cauldrons Snout and down the Tees (part of the Pennine Way), The Langdon Beck Hotel on the road to the Reservoir serves lovely food at very reasonable prices too well worth a visit so much so we go a couple of times every year :) Its the top of the Pennines so can get a little snowy and blowey at times in the winter, but if its clear wow what a sight your in for with the stars.View all reviews by waggie
