Our 2nd visit this year to the White Hart Inn and still a very pleasant overnight stop. Lovely meal and drinks, and on this visit due to the time of year we saw the Severn at both low and high tide.View all reviews by angelapeter
Pub, friendly staff, good food and a lovely view of the Severn.View all reviews by burcyluton
The gravel carpark is for the stop overs, its also the local recycling bins, so lots of traffic in/out. Plus some locals like to think its a meeting point and they like to wizz round on the gravel. It quietens off so we had a good nights sleep.
Car park needs a bit of tlc compared to the pub and other car park (tarmac) its a bit scruffy.. facities loos available
When pub is open.
Stopped here in May 19. The good points, large easy access gravel car park, good views, good gastro pub. The bad points, lots of coming and going in the car park until late, occasional petrol head, Very Noisy A48 road noise ( Thursday night) until late and from early, noisy rail line 100 yards other side of road. If you come here two bits of advice, book a table as it gets busy even early on, bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.View all reviews by swoods

We were made very welcome and enjoyed a couple of drinks and a light meal.
Reading the reviews on S4Ss we thought we would give this a bash after a day in the Forest of Dean. Food was great value and we really enjoyed our choices. Made welcome to stay in the large, level car park. The location is next to A48, luckily this did quieten down as the evening progressed. Veiws across to the Cotswold escarpment were supplemented on the evening of our stay by the Severn Bore.View all reviews by mrblo
Definitely worthy of a stopover if travelling in the area.
Lovely friendly pub, very busy but couldnt have been nicer. Lovely view of the estuary. There is an outside tap and we were allowed to use it.View all reviews by danny110101
Level car park.
Stayed here last night, nice pub with a massive carpark on one side in which they are happy for MH to park overnight. I popped in and had a couple of pints, nice staff... its a busy gastropub and not really a drinking pub. They do breakfasts from 8am at then weekend, price seemed reasonable.. Outside of pub opening hours no facilities.View all reviews by h1ghway1

The pub was lovely and welcoming to my me, my wife and our two dogs.
The food was also excellent and reasonably priced. I had Pheasant breasts off the specials board which were fantastic and served with the best red wine gravy I have tasted. For dessert I opted for what I thought was a rather expensive cheese board but when it came it was actually excellent value and was more like a ploughmans lunch (minus the apple) with very generous servings of some excellent cheeses.
As for the parking - it is level and spacious. There is some road noise but not enough to spoil a good night’s sleep.
Nice stop in large car park. Bit of road noise but nothing to keep us awake. Pub has nice food and was very busy. Great view of the river Severn. Would definitely recommend and return again ????View all reviews by gadgetant
What a lovely and welcoming place. Ideally located for the Forest of Dean visits as well as viewing the Severn Bore.View all reviews by katemoss
Park in the large car park to the right hand side of the Pub (facing from front) there is plenty of space and flat. The road alongside was a little noisy at night, but not busy, no real problem.
This is not so much a pub but an eatery but dont be fooled. You need to book to eat or be prepared to wait. It gets very busy but the food was excellent.
Another bonus is that at weekends, they open at 8.00am for breakfast so all facilities are available. We look forward to visiting again soon.
Very welcoming, large level car park. Excellent vegetarian food (and presumably the non-veggie food is just as good !). We'll definitely be back !View all reviews by brianjones
We stayed on a Sunday evening. The pub closes on Sunday at 7.30pm but the staff were happy for us to stay without having a meal or drink. Some road noise as it is on the A48 but not a problem when we stayed. We never used any facilties and I am unsure if there are any but the ground was hard in the very big second carparkView all reviews by rayc
Can't recommend this place more, brilliant views pretty flat, and the food was out of this world, loads of it.View all reviews by carlbos01
Friendly pub with great food and good beer, easy parking in long car park by the river Severn - alongside the road and near railway line but not too noisy. Highly recommended.View all reviews by simonp
