First time ever using pub stop, phoned in advance and said 3 campers could park up for the night snd booked a table.
Arrived parked up,really lovely father and daughter team in the pub,dog friendly with lovely woods at the back ,play area for kids and an amazing brick firepit that the staff started fir us and left us too it.
Food was not what we were expecting takeaway boxed type meals mostly burgers and pizzas etc,was hoping for pie and mash, scami or steaks!
We enjoyed lots of drinks in the lovely garden they closed at 9.30 but said we could stay in there garden till we wanted.
We would definately stay again.

Very dog friendly and great forest walk out back of pub. Great value, basic pub grub. Parked on stop over from Devon to Hertfordshire. Plenty of space in car park, busy noisy pub out front but fine once night time. Only £30 for meal for 2+1 and dogs, no charge to camp...bargain. Recommend for over nighter.

Phoned ahead to stay Sunday night- Bank Holiday Monday. Staff/ family who work here all great. Shuts at 17:00hrs on a Sunday. Arrived 14:00hrs ish- had lunch. Then walked in New Forest to Lyndhurst and around. Got lost in the forest. We the only ones stayed overnight. Road is busy, can hear cars but not too bad. Cycled into Lyndhurst for the evening. Fullers Pub busy with live music. Had a great Indian. Left 12 ish on the Mon. 2 cars parked and then went walking in The New Forest. There was a bike lock on the gate but the gate was left open. Great spot. Food in the pub- fair choice- burgers, sausage egg and chips, chilli etc from £12-14 a plate. Kids menu. Staff great.

phoned ahead to confirm it was ok to stopover and to reserve a table. Arrived just after 3pm and went for lovely 3 hour walk in the forest which is directly accessible from a gate in the beer garden. Returned for a lovely meal at this friendly welcoming pub. It is on a busy road but it quietened down overnight and we slept soundly. A short walk in the morning to see the dragon that one of the locals had mentioned the night before before departing. A great pub stopover .

A great stopover although the pub was empty apart from stopover vehicles (4 vehicles) on a Friday night. There was rugby yhe following day - maybe that was the reason! A good position with access to the New Forest at the back of the site and an easy walk into Lyndhurst along the road if you prefer. The pub is adjacent to the main toad but traffic noise was not a problem overnight.

Great pub stopover. The food was good, we walked in the New Forest, mooched around Lyndhurst then went on to the South Coast.
Done that twice now.
The view is when you have a nice walk in the forest just through the back gate.

Brilliant, spent Friday night in the Crown Stirrup, had a meal, watched the live music. It's very friendly and dog friendly.
Next morning went out of the back gate to run in the New Forest. Walked to Lyndhurst for a mooch before moving on

We have a 7.9m length motorhome and it was a bit of a squeeze to park to the side /back of the pub but we managed it. The staff are friendly and the food was delicious. Best of all was access straight into the new forest for walking the dog. I saw my first deer ever. Not much in the way of facilities, as the outside tap doesn't work. No mention of grey waste either.

Nice place to stay and easy access to forest walks, level site and easy to fit in but then we are only 5m long. Food in the pub is good and staff very friendly, we are pretty self sufficient so can't really comment on facilities. Didn't cost anything as we ate in the pub.

Rang at 10.00 Sunday morning and was told they were fully booked for food (Carvery), and closed all day Monday, therefore they couldn't offer us any facilities. If you want to stay, maybe book in advance and not for a Sunday or Monday.

I stayed in my campervan in the carpark for a few nights with the understanding that you either eat in the pub or pay £10 per night. The pub is very cosy and the food is tasty pub grub. The location is great out back as you can walk onto the path through the forest. Lyndhurst 15 min walk. Noisy road out front during the day so ear plugs handy! The bus into lymington or southampton is also out front of the pub, lymington was very dog friendly!

Stopped at this pub while on the way to Danny wood, the pub would not let us park over night so we did not stay, sorry not much of a review, just thought I would let people know.
