Lovely site, great location with probably the beat toilet/shower block ive ever used!! Heated floors a real bonus in December. Put a lot of hotels ive stayed in to shame.
About a 30 minute walk into Keswick, great for a few beers on a night.
Good restuarant on site serving decent portions

Just had 2 nights here. Excellent campsite, couldn’t fault it at all.

As others have said the staff couldn’t be any nicer or more helpful. Small shop and very good very recently refurbished showers (push button so no tokens). Half a dozen good sized shower cubicles with dressing areas.

Spotless laundry area plus large dishwashing room and ample drinking water taps.

Dog friendly - dog shower point and ample hooks to hold leads outside the toilet block.

The Hayloft cafe/bistro/bar over 2 floors is also excellent, reasonable prices and lovely food. Definitely need to book to be sure of a table.

Levelling ramps needed.

Handy for Keswick and area, 360 degree srunning views.

Arrived on a wet, misty evening. Paid at reception, handed a list of campsite rules and strict curfew instructions. Directed to the camping field and advised to park close to the road incase we needed to evacuate due to flooding!! Brand new toilet/shower block, absolutely spotless x cooking/wash-up area with drinking machine and seating area with wi-fi x fantastic on-site bistro, gets very busy and dog friendly downstairs, lovely food though x

Fabulous views, friendly staff, wonderful new facilities with inside cooking and eating area. Bar/cafe/restaurant with lovely food, worth a visit even if not staying on site. No charge for awnings, showers or dogs. Lovely and quiet after 10.30pm rule. The site is open all year round and is in a great location for walking. Keswick is a 20 minute walk down through the woods and Castlerigg Stone Circle about 25 minutes walk. A 25 minute evening walk up Walla Crag is definitely worth it. We can highly recommended this site it must be one of the best in the area.

Great location for those who like to walk and magnificent views. About one mile from the town centre down a fairly steep hill in places. Great value for money at £21 per night including electric on a hardstanding pitch. Very friendly welcome. Lovely Bar/Coffee shop on site and brand new toilet/shower facilities. Tip-top! I highly recommend this site.

Loved it here-fantastic views and great walks from site. Fairly easy walk into Keswick but got taxi back. 10.30pm silence rule which we personally have no problem with. Good toilet and shower facility. Drive over grey waste disposal which was excellent. Well maintained site with plenty of staff. Walk up Walla Crag from site for amazing views of Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite. Had drink in Hayloft on site-also serve food. Crag Bar (Heights Hotel) down road has lovely beer garden with sunset view.

Nice site, a walkable distance into Keswick. We paid £25 for one night in our vw on a grass non electric pitch. The facilities are adequate and coped ok with a very busy bank holiday crowd. The on site cafe is a good bonus and the breakfast was good. It's a tough walk up hill after a few pints back to site but taxis are usually available if you are struggling. In summary, a nice site near Keswick for a fair price and ok facilities.

We love this site. Quiet, great views and clean facilities. It is a good walk into keswick but lots of walks start from the site too. The on site cafe is a real bonus serving home cooked meals and now has its own gin bar. It can get very windy up here though so make sure you are prepared with lots of pegs. The drinking water is slightly brown as it runs off the hills..the colour is the peat and the water darkens after rain.We found this fascinating but also lovely to be drinking such fresh water

We visited this site again for a 3 night stay in our motorhome in November. This time we used all the facilities. It is 50p for a hot 3 minute shower. Very nice! Hairdryer 20p. We love this site. The scenery is stunning and staff very friendly and helpful. The pitches are gently sloping and we used levellers for the first time to level out. The site closes on 12th November and reopens in March. We will be back!! Cost £19 a night small motorhome 2 adults.

We stayed here for a long weekend and the views are stunning! We had a hard standing electric pitch at the top of the field so that we could put a small tent up as well. These pitches are gently sloping but we didn't need levellers. The wardens are very friendly. The toilets and showers are clean however we didn't use the showers.
We had sausage sandwiches from the on site cafe in the morning. Yummy!!
We will return for the spectacular views!

Nice site in a good location for visiting Keswick. We were on a rally with the CC&C club and paid £9. I would be reluctant to pat the normal rate especially as you have to pay for showers, hair drying facilities and wifi on top. It's an easy walk downhill into Keswick with some great pubs including a Wetherspoon. Don't drink too much though if you plan to walk back as it's a big climb. Levelling blocks needed.

As you approach Castlerigg Farm you find another site called Castlerigg Hall on the right of the lane so make sure you get the correct site. After inspecting both sites we found Castlerigg Farm to be better priced and also better views. Even if your not walkers this site is worth a visit just for the panoramic views. We were lucky to have exceptional weather during our visit and the sunset was amazing, we sat outside and watched as the sky turner deep red and the sun set behind the mountains. The showers, toilets, laundry room, shop etc were spotlessly clean and the hard standing pitches were easy to access even for our large caravan. The staff in reception were friendly and exceptionally helpful. One thing to note about this site, it's in a really quiet location away from roads and they do insist on no noise after 10.30pm which is very much to our liking, we're avid walkers and there's nothing worse than chatting neighbours keeping you awake but that never happened as they do monitor noise. We found the on site Hayloft Cafe Bar and Bistro to be very handy and the food was really good and reasonably priced. We had two meals at the Hayloft and as the weather was good we sat outside for our breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised to find there was no charge for dogs and no charge for any awnings, they do charge extra for showers but we were told this is under review as this winter they plan to upgrade all their facilities and add more showers and toilets. There is a large dog walk area and a dog shower and even free doggy poo bags. If this site has a down side it has to be the walk back from Keswick as its all uphil but the elevated location is what gives the views so we can't complain. There is a very handy bus stop at the end of the lane and the bus runs every hour, there is also a good taxi service and the site is only a 5 min drive from town. There is a lovely walk into town down through the woods which took us 25 mins and within a 5 min walk there is direct access to the mountains or a 25 min walk across fields and a country lane to Castlerigg Stone Circle. We would recommend this site and have already booked a return visit.

Lovely site high up above Keswick. Good amenities, laundry and small shop. Onsite cafe. EHU, CDP, Grass and gravel pitches levelling blocks advised as some of them are sloping. Also large camping field all enclosed by stone walls. Bus stop at end of lane with buses to several places.
