From Monday (July 2 2018) ‘motor caravans’ will be banned between 8pm and 8am along sections of Imperial Road and Queens Drive (spur road to Orcombe Point).

There will also be a 24-hour restriction on motor caravans along sections of Queens Drive.

Alongside the new measures introduced by Devon County Council, East Devon District Council has also advertised amendments to its off-street parking, which will allow motor caravans to park overnight in three long stay car parks in Exmouth – Imperial Road Recreation Ground, Queens Drive Echelon, and also in Maer Road as soon as its entrance has been upgraded.

So used to be great but now that ban is in place on seafront it is harder to find a spot and the locals don't seem to like me parking in their street - tried twice now, different places and both times received comments, not rude but def unpopular I think that there are now more vans spread around the town

Went to stay July 2018 and the council have banned motor homes from 8 pm to 8 am. You can park near the football club, bus station but only room for a few vans. Better placed for the town. But last year you could stay overnight in the long stay car park, now that is not allowed. Such a shame ! We won’t be going back. They will have lost a lot of revenue?

Lovely stopover right on the seafront & ideal for us doglovers. Stayed here a few times, shame about the car's racing up & down with music blaring out. Left all their rubbish as usual. Peaceful nights sleep eventually about 11.30 pm.

We drove down the the bottom end first as this was supposed to be the quietest, only problem down here is that the spaces are like a herringbone formation. Our motorhome is over 7m. If you drive in you'll be overhanging the road. You can reverse in with the overhang on the pavement but then the view is behind you. Sort of defeats the object. We decided to go further up where you park sideways and we had a perfect view. Little bit more traffic but it was quiet by midnight. £11 for 24hrs.

Lovely during the day, nightmare early evening in the summer months with the boy racers, but would still stay here again. Parked sideways on to the western side of the lifeboat station.

Stayed one night March 2017. £6.60 bargain. Bit noisy with the boy racers but they stopped fairly early on. It is a bit noisy with traffic but didn't bother us. There are marked bays at one end where you will struggle in a large Motorhome as previously said but we stayed a bit nearer to the town where you park sideways.. perfect as side door opens onto fantastic view. £11 in summer months. Happy days when we're allowed to stopover legally.

Lovely spot plenty of room and good views. The only downside is boy racers you would think you are on the side of a motorway. This will be the first and last time we stay here.don't bother if you want a quiet night.

Right on the seafront. Fantastic view to wake up to. We stayed nearer the town end as this is more suitable for longer motorhomes. £6.60 for a 24 hour period which is a bargain (we were disappointed to notice that several motorhomes were without a parking ticket). A short level walk into town for a drink. Road was busy but quietened down by late evening. Didn't hear the boy racers which a few reviews have mentioned. Enjoyed a lovely walk on the beach in the morning and a look around the lifeboat centre which was a few hundred metres away.

Marine drive in Exmouth. Great views. Was a lovely stop. However as previously mentioned there are quite a few boy racers driving up and down. We also had the delight at 01.30 of a car parking fairly close and boom boom base music being blasted. Not sure if this was to provoke attention! However we stayed put. They soon went after 15 or 20 minutes. Then around 6am a car went past the few vans that were here beeping there horn. Not exactly a peaceful nights sleep. However the views are stunning. If your MH is over 7m you will struggle to get into a bay. We had to straddle 3 bays sideways on so to not overhang both the road and the pavement at the same time. £6.60 overnight.

Great site for being right next to the beach and close to the town centre too. A favourite of ours especially in the winter when dogs are allowed anywhere on the beach.

Nice spot next to the sea but was a bit noisy early on with local youths on bikes. Not a real issue. Sea can also get noisy during an Eastely.

£6.60 for 24hour. Excellent spot right on seafront. We did hear a few boy racers around about 10, but after that nothing. Great nights sleep. Ther are toilets but when we visited they were shut.

Excellent location overlooking beach. Can be very blustery! Some noise from boys on bikes early evening after dark but otherwise quiet all night. Winter price now £6.60.
