Middle aged couple with a dog in a pop top campervan stayed for one night.
Absolutely fantastic parking spot. Arriving after 5.30 when Hurst Castle closes, gives more choice of a parking place. This place is obviously very popular with locals and tourists. Runners, dog walkers, cyclists, horse riders on land. Paddle boarders, kayakers, sailors on water ???? 6 mins cycle to nearest public loos, cafes etc. Ice cream van & bins too. Very quiet during the night.

Amazing place for a night or two. Busy during the day, but quietened down late evening. Lots to do: walk to the castle, play on the beach, crabbing galore...

Great spot arrived Bank Holiday Monday very busy. Road is narrow. Lovely walk along to Hurst Castle. Then we walked into Milford. Lovelt little town, pubs, restaurants and supermarket. Quiet at night 3 camper vans/ motorhomes. Few mopeds/bikes riding around for a bit. Nice views. 2 vans all gone by 9:30 am -we still here, we like lazy mornings. Going to walk dowm to Keyhaven.

Brilliant spot - 10 mins brisk walk from Milton with loads of choices for food or shops - and perfect for a visit to Hurst Castle. Stayed 2 nights, ample spaces despite Easter Holidays. Highly recommend - our 7 foot 6 motorhome easily madenit from Milton approach and theres room to turn before the barriers so dont be put off.

great small parking area along a quiet road. silent at night, can get busy during the day.
2 mins walk to the pebble beach and 25 mins to Hurst castle.
Stayed for 3 nights with no problems from anyone.
6ft6" (2m) restriction (except for access) is in force from both ends although passable in our RV which is 2.4m wide. I would, however, suggest coming from the village end not the boat yard end. It is much wider. From the tide gate to the boat yard is very narrow and not recommended unless you are a skilled driver.

beautiful find...there are 6'6" restrictions but that's if approaching from Yacht Club end, and it's only a bit narrow, I got through fine and I'm 2metres wide. I settled in, walked to the excellent Smugglers Inn (10 mins), went shopping, great charity shop too...walked back and started cooking and some guy pulled up right behind my van with a good 100 metres of free parking, and sat in his car looking right into the back of my van. I was intimidated enough to leave

Enjoyed our stay, having checked the high tides times, chanced it and parked by the water. 10 mins walk either way to pubs and 15 mins to village where there are a few restaurants and a take away.

We stayed here one night over the Bank Holiday weekend. There were no parking spaces when we arrived late afternoon but we returned about 7pm and there were plenty. It's a lovely spot which looks out to the Isle of Wight across the salt marshes and Solent. It is a shortish walk to the town if you want a pub or food. We took our canoe out on the sea during the day & thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Lovely wild camping spot on a quiet stretch of road alongside the salt marshes by Hurst Spit beach. Parked up you are looking across the Solent towards the Isle of Wight and and Needles. We popped back into Milford on sea village once we had located the parking spot and found some decent fish and chips that we brought back and watched the sun set from the parking spot back beside the beach. Sat Nav says we are 45 mins from the terminal in Southampton for our onward journey onto Isle of Wight in the morning. Great find!

Great little wild camp. We live about 10 miles away but found this a great spot. You do have to check the tide times as the road floods on the very high tides. Walk into Keyhaven for a great pub called the Gun Inn. You can carry on round a coastal path all the way to Lymington. There is a good walk along the spit to Hurst Castle where you can catch a boat to Keyhaven for a bit of variety.

Great views, very quiet, but do Not stay overnight on the road alongside the sea as high tides can completely inundate the road.

Perfect location; views direct to Hurst Castle (approx. 2 mile walk away) the village of Milford on Sea 20 min walk away with its 3 pubs, chippy and other handy amenities. We approached from Keyhaven Lane and noticed a 6ft 6 width restriction sign, but we ploughed on through, as already committed, with no probs (we are 7ft 8) Can't wait to return, best location so far.

Sadly there was so much fog the view across to the Isle of Wight was nonexistent. There is a good walk along the pebble bank to Hurst Castle (Now closed until March 2016) but most of the outside is accessible. Sturdy shoes recommended. Very quite safe park up. Highly recommend
