Donation now requested to Assynt Crofter's Trust for overnight parking, free during the day. £10 for motorhomes or £5 for cars/tent campers. Honesty box on side of shed, which is a composting toilet - not for chemical disposal - can also be paid via PayPal and Trust member visited during the evening to check and request payments from those who had not done so.

No facilities at present, but the Trust member stated that they are intending to instal waste disposal shortly.

To be honest I'm happy to pay if it helps encourage parking provision, and it's well worth it for the views alone. 4 mile walk there and back across moorland via cliff tops to the Old Man of Stoer.

Good overnight spot
Snack and drinks van easter to sept
Compost loo open when snack van open with a small charge. This is to prevent people emptying their chemical loo, as just one person doing this will stop the compost toilet working.
Very exposed site! Fantastic views
4 mile round trip across boggy headland to Old man of Stoer rock stack
Evidence of cows but didnt see any but saw sheep in the morning
Can see several lights from lighthouses after dark

Stayed for one night as we'd driven so far from the 'main' road to get there! Very exposed! Overnight it blew a gale and tipped it down and we were woken up by the highland coos that were using our MH to shelter!
Probably only room for a couple of motorhomes.
There's a snack bar open during the summer.
Free and no facilities.
