Yes there are no toilets or showers but as said by others this is truely a superb location. For walking the dog or cycling this is one of the best locations we have been to. Deer roaming through the site, all sorts of birds in the woodland and heaths. We walked to Sway cycled to Brockenhurst and most importantly walked straight from the site for miles. Very friendly helpful staff. Well done ????????View all reviews by pinarello
Beautiful site within the new forest £18.43 per night ,warm greeting from reception , asked what sort of pitch we wanted and just said I would like to see Deer , he pointed us to hardstanding with ehu in the blue area not far from reception. No showers or toilets so you have to be self sufficient . However there is fresh water and grey and chemical waste areas .Ponies came very close and a stag posed for a photo, the scenery peace and quiet is truly amazing will certainly returnView all reviews by adeleb
A quiet, peaceful site in the new forest. Ponies wandering in surrounding roads and villages, we had a visit from a group of deer with enormous antlers 10 foot behind the van, very impressive. 30 minute walk to nice pub near Sway, turn left at cattle grid on road to Sway. 3.3 mile walk into Brockenhurst along old railway path, bit disappointed with village but a couple small supermarkets, cafes and a pub. A nice site for a relaxing couple of days no public transport to speak of.View all reviews by chrishendrick
Loved the spacious pitches. Nice walk into Sway and also across the moors opposite the site entrance. Friendly staff. No toilets or showers was not a problem as we were self sufficient in that area. Easy run to nearby Lymington, Mudeford quay. Great forest experienceView all reviews by leepogson
Set in the New Forest, great for walking and biking. Ideal for dog owners with both forest and heath-land to explore. The hard standing pitches with electric are large though most would require leveling blocks. Discount available for CCC members.View all reviews by infared
Fabulous location in amougst the trees of the New Forest...H/S, EHU, grey and black waste disposal available..no toilets or showers. 1hr 15min walk into Brockenhurst for pubs, shops and train station.View all reviews by teaboat1973
Beautiful site nestled amongst the trees so a more natural feel to the pitch. No showers or toilets but does have electric hook up and water and a motorhome service point. No tv reception because of the trees. Lots of lovely walks and a signposted trail to Sway. An ideal location to pitch up for some exploring.View all reviews by colabear
Setthorns is a real gem. Open all year round, it offers unrivalled opportunities for walking, both within the Set Thorns Enclosure, and further afield. A walk to Sway, the nearest village, will be rewarded by two great pubs, both serving food, and a range of small shops and a coffee shop.View all reviews by jfdunnet
The staff who look after you at Setthorns are also exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about the forest and the area.
A wonderfully relaxing place to visit, but make sure you are fully self-sufficient - there are no services here, apart from the usual water, and waste disposal.
The setting is stunning and in an area of natural beauty. No toilet facilities so you have to have your own. Deers roam straight through the site too. Very much worth a visit.View all reviews by ChristianLewis4
Have visited many times and is a favourite New Forest site in the winter. Open all year and reasonably priced it has hookups but no other facilities. The pitches are mostly woodland with a few more open areas in the valley. The site is adjacent to the cycle network which runs through the centre and is an added bonus.View all reviews by esplendido
