Back pitches are very unlevel, there were caravans using two breezeblocks and corner steadys at full extent. if your in a motorhome expect to be squeezed out by caravaners hogging the pitches, if they dont have an awning they can park by their door, some have awnings and park at the awning doors thats 3 widths as well as tents at the back, see pictures yes the site has potential if they maintain the correct scottish fire regulation rules, we had to park at angle across our pitch as the caravaners car was on our pitch line, we wouldnt be able to open our door or even put a table or chair out, for £29pn i would expect a swimming pool and silver service. or even a serviced pitch,View all reviews by Ronh

No details of when its due to open ( asked at the pub which was owned by previous owners )
We stayed one night and loved it. We were parked right on the water's edge in plot 38a. Make sure you let them know if you want an awning up as our plot didn't have room due to a lamppost (didn't bother us for one night) but all the rest look ok. Washing machine in the ladies but couldn't see a dryer though there's a rotary line at end of the site. The pub is excellent! Lovely food - huge portions be warned - but great value for money. I think there were 3 cows in my steak pie. Veggie options also available. And the locals are very welcoming. There are things that could be improved as per the other older review such as waste disposal and perhaps add a dryer, but oh... the views!View all reviews by ptassinari67
My wife and I stayed at the site for one night in our motorhome. We visited reception and were given rather vague directions as to which pitch we should use so we just chose one ourselves which was right next to the shingle beach with great views. The gravel hard standing was fairly level and only needed a slight adjustment to level the vehicle.View all reviews by photo4x4
There are plenty of EHs within easy reach of the pitches and the site has lighting at night. There is also recycling and rubbish disposal available.
The site is well established and is in a great location for coastal walks and views. The village is extremely picturesque and the harbour has many interesting boats. There is a pub at the entrance to the site and the restaurant was well patronised (we did not use it ourselves). We could not find any shops nearby for food etc., but there must be some in the village we just did not come across any as we did not need to stock up.
The shower and toilet block is in a cottage at the entrance to the site and is warm and cosy and was immaculately clean. The showers has plenty of warm water and were of the ‘push button’ type so no fiddling with taps and settings. There were just 2 MHs and two touring caravans on the site when we were there so there was no queuing for the showers. It may be that in high season with a site full this would not be the case.
Elsan and grey water disposal are available by taking your ‘tanks’ to them. As a motorhomer I prefer being able to drive over the drain to dump my grey waste.
Would we visit again – certainly. Would we recommend the site to others – yes.
