Lovely site backing onto the sand dunes and beach, showers and EHU all worked fine. Amazing beach for dog walking

This is an absolute gem of a site. Quiet, friendly, good, level and spacious pitches. There are walks straight from the site onto the sand dunes and on to the fabulous expanses of deserted beaches. There’s no pressure to leave the site which all makes for a lovely relaxing stay. We are intending to go back to this site as often as we can. Facilities were immaculately clean.

Basic site. Very friendly. Clean toilet/shower facilities (£2 deposit for key). Mainly statics, but tourers have their own area and can choose to set up under trees (need levelling blocks) or on flatter pitches on a 'cul-de-sac'. Excellent walks through dunes or the National Trust red squirrel sanctuary adjacent.

Lovely hidden gem. Perfect for walking- long sandy beaches on the doorstep. Pheasants wander around. Very friendly. Local shops within walking distance.

Lovely site by the dunes, 30 minute walk to train station, £5.20 return to Liverpool.
Further 15 walk into Formby village with usual shops & waitrose supermarket and pubs.
Small touring field with about 16 pitches, no motorhome service point, shower block ok but cold, nice & clean. £20 per night, £2 for refundable key for toilet block.

An absolute gem of a site. Fairly basic but well placed for the beach and town. Toilet block spotlessly clean, locked so you pay £2 deposit for key, biggest shower cubicles I've ever seen. Helpful, friendly people both running the site and in the static vans, of which there are many but pleasantly laid out and well kept. Only thing lacking is a motorhome waste point but not a big problem. Enjoyed so much going back in a fortnight

Formby Point caravan park: Unusual location - sandwiched between the dunes and wide windswept beaches on one side, and the affluent suburbs of Formby on the other. You could say it has the best of both worlds. The area for touring caravans & motorhomes is small - you have to drive through a large area of statics to get there, but very quiet to the dunes. Stangely high level of security for the toilets. Freshfields pub is a must for real ale fans - though it's a fair old walk.
