Nice little parkup, Shame about the drug dealers from 9pm -11pm back and forth all night long, And for the litter left behind by them. gave 6 for the location due to the drug dealers.

We stopped here for one night but would loved to have stayed for longer. It is a well used spot but it wasn't noisy. Beautiful sunset and peaceful night. Will definitely return.

We found this place on this app and it couldn't have been more perfect. We have a motorhome and arrived here around 5pm in time to watch the sunset behind the mountain. We awoke to a gorgeous view over the pond and hills and weren't disturbed by anyone or anything other than a wild horse who decided to investigate our van by rubbing up against it around 10pm! Perfect spot for walks.. No facilities but fine if you're off grid like we are. We even made a cup of tea for the two lovely wardens who came over to check out our van conversion. All in all a lovely place to stay!

Our first wild camp and it was great, quiet with just us and 2 other vans to keep us company. A flat car park with amazing views and walks direct from the site. We did stay during a weather warning and it was a bit exposed, adding to the wild experience! Very handy for visiting the Big Pit National Coal Mining Museum (free and worth a visit).
No facilities, but no restrictions either

Great spot. We stayed at lower level close to the water but others up at top had super views across hillside. Good tv reception. No facilities so have to give low rating. Wild horses around but lots of lovely walks for dogs off lead although evidence of sheep around.

Wow what an amazing place to call home for the night. Stunning views, peaceful night and an evening of entertainment as sports people of every type enjoy the pond 514m upmin the Brecon Beacons - and only 10 minutes from Abergavenny. A heritage site, this wild spot has no facilities although offers just about everything else. Close to a road although not very noisy. Weekends could be busy.

Stayed 2 nights here and loved it. Few 'boy racers' during the night with loud engines, but didn't stay long and didn't cause trouble. Beautiful views, incredible sunsets and a few sheep and horses came to say hello. Absolutely beautiful and I will return!

Stayed here over Easter Bank Hols 2018, very quiet and dark, became quite busy later in evening, must have been over half a dozen vans on a very wet, windy cold Easter Friday. Imagine this can get busy during summer period. Gets busy in morning with dog walkers etc. No sign of boy racers as mentioned in previous reviews but bad weather maybe keep them away. Overall good stopover, Ideally placed for visiting the "Big Pit" which we also recommend as a free family visit. Definitely return here

Our second one-night stop at this lovely place in the middle of nowhere. No facilities, even bins but a nice quiet stop for the night with lovely views over the moors, mountains and lake

A January stay here was very quiet, needless to say. One other camper and a bunch of sheep! No boy racers but it WAS very cold & frosty with some overnight sno, so not really surprising. A good place for the out-of-season times I think.Evidence of those 'boy racers' etc. mentioned in another review in the form of some cans and cartons so we did a litter-pick before we left. ( No bins but why should there be - if we can find room for the stuff we take up there we can find room to take it away with us,)( 'Facilities' rating not really applicable but has to be filled for review to be accepted)

Cracking place for views and walks (especially for the mutt) but don't expect peace and quiet.....busy all day with walkers/hikers and busy at night with boy racers....to the point of being woken at 3 am to the sound of the latest techno rubbish.....though I was here the weekend......but they didn't approach the van.
Not even a bin at this location (warden comes and picks up the rubbish left by the boy racers each day)....Supermarket 10 mins away and a MAcdonalds even less.....great phone signals for internet.

Stayed here for one night with no other vans/cars. Quite isolated spot, although just off the main road. Great views across moors and lake adjacent. No facilities but a quiet spot for the night. Plenty of sheep wandering through car park and surrounding area.

We stayed here a few years ago and have to agree with the other reviews. You have to bare in mind that it is a good quiet spot also for the younger generation to get a great view and have a smoke/drink ect...

Although we were the only van there we did get the van "cherry knocked" at 10pm by some youths who then wheelspan off. Didn't bother us too much as we were half cut by then but we wouldn't stay up here overnight again for that reason.

There are quieter places around ;)
