Pretty pub in a small village with good food with a large carpark (ignore the ex-powerstation and cement works - not visible).View all reviews by Kath1963
Good walks along the coast, especially to Rhoose point (most southerly point in Wales).
Just an up date to say its still a great place to stop for the night.View all reviews by lynnandian
Large car park opposite the pub with a few crows nesting in the trees, they’ll give you a nice chorus in the morning.
The pub is nice and quirky dating back to 14th century, great beers, ciders, wine and food reasonable priced and good quality.
No services but toilets open when the pub is.
Fantastic looking pub, which was why I came, however the location is not particularly good. Pictures give the impression ( to me anyway ) that this thatched old country pub is nestledView all reviews by suppersready
Somewhere in a countryside/village setting, which it is not.
Very large quiet carpark perfect for an overnight stay. We popped into the pub for a bottle of wine and pudding which was very lovely. The pub is great and very quirky also very busy for a Tuesday evening, all the food we saw being served looked lovely. No facilitiesView all reviews by HelenAngela
Lovely little pub, with decent car park stopover just across the road. Staff helpful, and beer good - but shut at 10:30 (on a Monday). Definitely going on my list!View all reviews by bitsmissing
Very pretty pub, and we didn’t need ramps to park. The pub catches the sun late into the evening so a great place for a drink. We didn’t eat there.View all reviews by anitajones1
Great traditional pub. Loads of parking in the big car park. Really friendly owners and staff. Only 15 minutes from Barry. They don't charge for parking and you don't have to book a table. We had a few drinks in the bar. Lovely place.View all reviews by dolph587
This is a lovely pub, staff are very friendly, the large car park is across the road from the pub, and you do need large levellers as the ground is sloppy. At the bottom end of the car park and some large trees with nesting Ravens which are very noisy first thing in the morning. You can also walk down to the beach albeit not much of beach. You don't have to spend any money in the pub, but we went in for a few drinks. On the grits tops it mentions waste water disposal well we couldn't find where to empty our waste water.View all reviews by pam03
This is a lovely rural pub in pretty village. Very friendly staff. As part of the Britstops you don't have to spend money with pub but it helps! There is a large car park opposite the pub with plenty of space.View all reviews by Ferdie101
Is close to railway line but not too many trains. Also is a few miles from Cardiff airport and an RAF base but we never heard any noise from them.
