The Crown Inn is a traditional freehold country pub in the Polden level village of Catcott, which lies just off the A39 between the popular towns of Bridgwater and Street
The original part of this idyllic pub is over 400 years old and has the warmth and character so many pubs have lost over the years retaining the wonderful open log fire (great on a chilly night), original flagstone floors, cob walls and low beamed ceilings.
Electric is available for 5.00

Stayed for the night end of april . Dan & Jen landlord & landlady very welcoming & couldn’t do enough for us . Had a meal in the garden from a temporary menu because of covid , new menu coming out next month .
Basic pub grub which was lovely & not too expensive . Dan sorted out EHU for us & brought drinks to the moho . 3 or 4 other units stayed as well so someone else to talk too ! Will definately use again when in the area . Thank you dan & jen.

A very friendly welcome at The Crown. Large, level car park and nice walks nearby at the Nature Reserve. Good pub grub and decent prices. Classic pub stopover with toilets open during pub opening hours. We would return.

Nice family run country pub, 15 mins from J23 of the M5, with good food, good beer, and super friendly owners, some of which are motorhomers themselves. The car park is large and level and a EHU is available for a small fee. This is our second visit and won't be the last.

Fantastic stop over, near to Glastonbury and Street, just off J23, M5. Nice level car park, lovely village and best of all one of the best pub meals we have had in a long time and the steak was amazing. Staff friendly and accommodating.

Short drive from junction 23, M5 brings you to this great country pub. Large flat hardstanding car park with plenty of room for a 9m van. We arrived and were greated by the Bob the owner who was very friendly and managed to arrange for us to hook up to the electric even though i had forgotten our 3 pin plug. It is a typical traditional English pub with a good choice of beers and cider. The food was excellent and way beyond what we expected for a village boozer. Amazing! You couldnt ask for a better place to stop off on your way to Devon/Cornwall. Highly recommended

Had a great time at a great pub. Amazed that it was completely free. Landlord, bar staff and locals were super friendly. Turned up to late for food so cannot comment on that. Cheers guys for a great stop over!

free to park, but £5 a day electric. pub food is amazing and the staff are very friendly. Be careful when driving through the village as it can be a bit tight for larger than 8m motorhome.

Stayed for 1 night on way home from Cornwall on a sat night. About 10 mins from M5 but worth it. Friendly staff , lovely meal and plenty of it. Although car park was full, it was quiet through the night and early morning. We didnt book ahead but owner found us a spot and booked us in for a meal 45 mins later. Very welcoming and would stay again.

We went specifically to see the starling murmurations on the Avalon marshes. (for which we parked at the Avalon Marshes Centre). Mid week in January, we were the only motor home there, but made very welcome. There were only about 10 people in the pub, but enjoyed a good beer and had a very nice "value for money meal" in front of a log fire. The parking was level, the only downside being it was very muddy after heavy rain. Would certainly return and spend more time at the area.

Traditional pub a few miles off the M5, J23. Large flat car park with electric if required (£5). Very nice food and a good selection of beers and ciders. The Sunday Carvery is recommended. Very friendly welcoming staff. Handy for Glastonbury, the Clarke Outlet Village and within walking distance to Nature Reserves. The pub has a Skittle Alley and function room and is dog friendly in the bar area. We stayed 3 nights but no restriction.

Good stopover. Large level car park. Met by the owner who was very friendly and chatty. We did have a meal which was basic value for money. Not sure if there was any facilities as we did not require use of any for that reason I can't really score this. On a very quiet road so had a good nights sleep.

We have stayed a couple of times. Landlord is excellent, food is excellent, they have always said for us to stay as long as we wanted. We will always pop back for food when passing. my favourites have been the pork belly, and the chocolate trio pudding!
