Great spot easy to find from M1, car park full but drove onto lovely field, but it is a sunny Sunday, I should imagine midweek it's less busy. Narrow getting through gate area onto field, but if we can do it, anybody can.

we stayed here on our way back from Europe
really good food and nice garden
however not dog friendly we were told we had to go and sit in the front garden next to the very noisy road
not great on this note however we made the best of it and ate our food and sat in the sun next to our van watching the kids on the miniature railway
ehu is free if you need it

We stayed overnight in the grounds of the pub. We had our dinner in the pub, the food was excellent! The staff were really friendly and helpful.
Great place to stay, I can imagine families having a great time on the narrow gauge railway there.

what a gem of a place! parked up right at the back. Pub serves food all day and food is delicious, they really do deliver the goods on a plate. Staff are friendly, professional and helpful. Will definitely return asides for a weekend getaway. Camping free if you eat at pub, prices really reasonable.... 3 of us had a HUGE lunch, and drinks for £31. They have a EHU point, not sure about other facilities as we didnt use anything.

Great stopover & pub.
Bank Holiday Sunday - only 2 vans the night we were there.
Parked pub side of white gates flat & grass & quiet enough. Had roast beef £13 pp. Didn't use electric. We had a dog & no problems encountered.

What a nice place to stay! Just back from a two night stop and found it very nice. Fairly Close to Dunstable Downs, Whipsnade Zoo and a nice area for cycling and walking. Download walks before you go & you're sorted
.
EHU is free and all they ask is that you eat in the pub. Nice, varied menu with freshly cooked food at reasonable prices. The Fancott IS ALWAYS very popular, beer garden beautiful & a miniature railway running through the grounds.
ALWAYS RING & BOOK FIRST

Great little stopover, nearby numerous things of interest to see. We rode to Woburn Abbey in our electric bicycles, and had fantastic time. The miniature railway was also a hit with our three-year-old.

To be very careful though, as when we first arrived we were directed to park at a field right at the back of the place, over the miniature railway line. Our nine meter motorhome got stuck in soft ground, and was at a nightmare to get out. Luckily a very friendly local with a Range Rover assisted, which was very kind. Definitely do watch out for where you drive though, as it’s not nice to get stuck.

Eating at the pub was definitely a requirement by the management, which is fair enough.

Parking was supposed to be on a grass but as it was VERY soggy we parked up on the tarmac (after checking with pub staff) Was still able to reach EHU with our 25m lead. The food in the pub was reasonably priced and very good and a lovely place to sit by the fire and relax. There is a garden railway with a level crossing which was closed when we were there. £15 each way to Luton & Dunstable hospital in a taxi.

Very nice however, be careful where you park up. We were directed to the field at the back by the little railway and managed to get stuck in the mud. It was dark and I didn’t watch where I was going. Used the electricity (free) - can be found on the gate post leading into the railway. A little bit of road noise
Had a lovely meal in the pub and got a £10 discount, presumably because we ate before 7
In all would recommend. If you are going to go in the summer, just make sure you get there early.

Excellent stopover. Free hook up but you will need a 3 pin adaptor. We ate in the pub and enjoyed an outstanding steak & kidney pie, homemade with fresh vegetables and the best chips ever. Lovely staff and locals said welcome as well. Dogs not allowed in pub or garden, we walked ours outside but not far as no pavement. Would recommend ringing first as spaces limited and I am sure they are very busy especially in the Summer.

Proved to be a great stop. We parked on a gravel / grass area at the far end of car park which was ideal. The staff were very helpful and the food choice was a little limited but was very good and reasonably priced. We also have Britstops membership but they didn't seem too concerned about that. Although close to the M1 it was quiet at night. We would definitely use it again

Brilliant stop! Hook up, large flat carpark, free wifi that reaches the end of the carpark, not just inside the pub and fantastic food. Would definitely use again. Just off the M1

Contacted via TripAdvisor. Replies quickly but did state it's a Britstop members only but on that occasion let me do a stopover. Big carpark with hook up available. Great food at reasonable prices and freindly staff.
It's on a country road not far from the M1 exit and Toddington services.

Good pub, excellent service before and on arrival. Good food, probably busy on weekends but we went on a Monday. Food served all day. Large car park and electric available if you get there early.
Had a meal and charged nothing for overnight parking.
