A great place for motorhomers. Quiet and safe. The nearby pub meals were good. The number 9 bus runs into town from just outside.

You can pay for the following morning on the app to start at 9am if you want a lay in. All scarbourgh car parks are free 9-6pm anyway. Had no noise, loads of campers and well lit car park on the seafront. The mini railway station is 2min walk.

Great spot, seven other vans there the night we stayed but still plenty of space. Quiet throughout the night. We didnt go to the pub but it looked nice. Lovely walk/run along the beach side the next morning. Nearest toilets about a mile away near peasholm park, seemed to be open all the time.

Easy to find, right next to the sealife centre. No toilets on site and free parking only 6pm-9am, but there is a reasonable pub less than a 5 minute walk away! Free parking on road before car park if you want to walk the cleveland way!

Stayed last night, many vans, good location
Unfortunately one very large RV turned up after 2130, proceeded to move all the no parking signs and cones that were clearly there for the construction taking place on the entrance .... the RV then fired up an external generator till after midnight
This is the kind of behaviour that will stop considerate Motorhome’s using places like this !

Spot on location overlooking the North Bay. Large car park which is free until 1st March. There are litter bins on site but no other amenities. Only 1 other Motorhome and a couple of campervans on a Wednesday night. Car park was busy early evening with fishermen but by 9pm the place was quite and we had a very quiet undisturbed night. I would recommend a visit to the Scalby Mills pub which is about 100m from the car park. A good selection of cask ales and very reasonably priced food. This is a first class stopover please respect it. Number 9 bus leaves on the hour from stop just outside Scalby Mills pub and will take you directly into the centre of Scarborough if you dont fancy the walk

Read a lot about it so decided to give it a try. Ideal flat car park with loads of space and safety in numbers as it’s a popular stop for campervans and motor homes. Scalby mills pub is dog and sprog friendly with good hearty food at reasonable prices. Right on the sea front with loads of great places for dog walking, besides the beach. All parking meters are covered so free for now. Ideal for an overnight stop.

Spent one night here-a good stopover. Walking along the Prom/Cleveland Way and past the beach huts to the Sands flats takes 10-15 mins or, alternatively cut in to the park/open air theatre (before reaching the beach huts) where there was a Christmas market on the day we were there.
As has been already said by others, the nearby pub is super friendly and serves traditional pub food and decent beer.
We had a quiet, undisturbed night. And it was free, with parking charges suspended until March 2019.
Quite busy in the day but only around 7 motorhomes overnighting. We will return.

Stayed here for 1 night. Old scalby mills pub opposite serving food till 9pm, very friendly staff. We walked down the sea front and had fish and chips from the take away, edible but wouldnt go again. Plenty of bins on site. Lots of vans onsite by 8pm. Few young lads fishing along the front, didnt bother anyone. Would stay again :-)

Thought Scarborough Council had stopped campervans staying here a couple of years ago so hadn't gone but saw it on SFS so went Saturday 18th. Arrived at 6.15 already about 35 units there and a few more arrived later but still plenty of spaces. Had a meal in the pub outside car park it was fine but a long wait (@50 mins) and it wasn't busy as we went after 8. Short stroll to Peasholme Park along the front. Overall nice quiet stay in great location, will go again and handy having a nice pub close

Good stop over, nice and quiet with good views out to sea. Good pub within a minute walk. It was free after 6pm until 9am and I would say that 90% of the vans there went before they had to pay. We put £4 in the meter to we didn't have to rush off at 9am.

Good stop over point, we arrived at approx 18:30 and there was plenty motor homes already there, we parked in the middle as all around the outside was taken. The views are nice and you are right on the sea front. At the entrance to the carpark there is a pub which serves food and a selection of fine ales. As I was sat outside the pub there were more vans coming and it ended up the car park was nearly full, pleasant nights sleep. No charge between 18:00/9:00.

Great little pub with some nice ales and quiet after 8pm. £9 for 24 hours Free between 6 and 9. We found most arrived for the free parking. 15 units on our first night and 6 the second night.

The sea life centre itself is OK but a bit pricey £19 per adult). The overnight stay in the car park wasn't brilliant (£9 for 24 hours), first we had local kids tormenting our dog then we had boy racers until late. Wouldn't stay here again, which is a shame because it's location to the sea /beach is brilliant.

Tucked away on the north end of the beach, this car park is ideal for motorhomes; it is flat, partly lit, by the seaside, and free (6pm - 9am). There is lots of space, near the front or back in the trees out of the way. There were 8 other MHs there on our Wednesday night.
The pub was very quiet in the evening as its not the weather for tourists yet, however a few 'boy-racers' interrupted the serenity for 20 minutes or so at closing time.
TV reception was good, the sunrise was bright and cheery

We were very shocked at the number of motorhomes parked here when we headed down the road. There were absolutely loads! It looks like an Aire in France.
It's a great spot though, right on the sea front and next to the pub, which does lovely food. You can walk down into Scarborough (about half an hour) and I'm sure there are other walks around the area.
It's also completely free until March 2018, which was a nice surprise!
We will definitely visit again.

Seemingly if you appear after 6pm and go before 9am is free. Would not take cash or card at 11pm defaulted to 9am bit not abrupt money. Take plenty of cash as no other machines in any parking site tale anything but cash.

Car park for the Sea Life centre. Several parking spaces over looking the sea. There are no extra large or motorhome parking spots and this is a pay and display carpark. Be ware that if you have a van longer than a normal car and some parks in a space opposite you then you may have problems reversing out!

This is the car park for the sea life centre. Excellent place to stay £7.50 for 24hrs or free between 18.00 and 9am. Great views, bus into Scarborough and the scalby mills pub which serves food are right next to the car park. We did not have any nighttime disturbances and have stayed here many times this year. Very short walk to the open air theatre though you can actually hear the concerts if you wander along and sit on the grass. The little steam train to peasholme park is at the top of the steps. There are no facilities so be prepared.

Heard mixed reviews about this place but decided to try it. Very busy during day but calms down after 6pm. Free parking from 6pm to 9am. About 10 vans parked up over night. Heard reports of boy racers and other idiots parking up with headlights on vans at night but all quiet when we were there. The parking spaces are quite tight. Parking attendants visited frequently but spoke to one and he said keep within the white lines and buy a ticket during the day and you'll be ok. We managed to get a space by the promenade and stuck the back end over the wall. After 6pm you can park where you like. The car park lights were on all night. Location for us was good, easy access to beach, cliffs and pub.

Stayed here for a couple of nights August bank holiday. Car park was very busy throughout the day, emptied of cars in the evening but is obviously a well known spot for motor-homers. Approx 25 over-nighters in the bank holiday weekend, a very pleasant place to stay. Showers and toilets further round the coast, a short walk away. Easy to walk into Scarborough or do a hillside walk. Pub next to the car park and did not see any boy racers while we stayed.

Heard about this spot & decided to give it a go. Certainly wasn't disappointed particularly as it's free ! Fantastic views on good ground, excellent pub just 100yds away & another just 10 mins walk at the top of the hill (The Ivanhoe-you'll pass it on your way in). No boy racers about & a good crowd of people out well into the evening. A steady hours walk took us into the middle of Scarborough by the beach & lifeboat Stn. Just 30 mins along the prom to Peasholme park passing the beach on the way. Overall, excellent & we're definitely going back.

Sea Life car pak, free to park between 1800hrs and 0800hrs, £6 parking charge for 24hrs.
This is full of motor homes and campers, it is far too over used and is not a particularly nice place to stay.
The car park is used all night by boy racers etc, it was probably a nice place to stay before every motor home and his dog started using it.
If your going to wild camp, there are plenty of other out of town locations AVOID!
