Its a stunning location and a great place to overnight. Or it was.

Fortunately there is a strong campaign, a 3700 so far sig petition to get it back. There's a Facebook group telling you more about it all and how you can support the campaign

Thanks to Havant Council for their short sightedness and lack of regard to Visitors and the lival business they serve.

As of Three weeks ago (from 03/09/18) overnight parking has been made an offence.

I spoke to the pub and the coffee shop who dont understand the decision as it has harmed their business and told us. Its a new play thing for the Council so they are enforcing the rule. Tickets have been given around 0200hrs.

Its a real shame.

very confusing how to pay. Phoned the helpline. That said you had to pay till 6 pm before you could pay for overnight. So does work expensive as 8am till 6pm is £6 then 6 pm till 8 am is £15. But we decided it was worth it for the beautiful view.
Didn’t use toilets pub or water.
Lots open green space too motorhomes were also parked on to the green. Lots of options.
Lovely watching the horses running along the beach and lots of activities with kite surfing and other water sports.

great place to park. day at the beach with the Inn on the beach pub/restaurant right next door. you can stay overnight for a maximum of 3 nights, but can't return within four nights. If overnight parking you need to have 6m between motorhomes. Easy for another motorhome to park within the 6m rule.

What a fabulous spot, which we found out about thanks to friends who live here. Stopped here after landing from Caen ferry waiting for a bad snow front to pass and it's such a wonderful overnighter. We couldn't make the payment work so our stay was free - lots of people up here during the weekend. The pub is great and there is a place for your black waste in the public toilets. Only about 15 minutes to the ferry port so would definitely stay here if we had an early morning ferry.

Lovely location, there's even a decent pub/restaurant, The Inn on the Beach. Service point still accessible 24/7, drinking water from taps in the public toilets which are locked overnight, no grey water facility.

Rather pricey, we heard that this was to encourage use of the camp sites.

Nice enough car park, all pretty level and solid. View is great across the estuary, especially at night with the moon out. Kids are finishing up on the beaches late so some comings and goings, but otherwise quiet. Facilities are locked at dusk, and didnt get to use them, but bins are available. Parked out of hours so no charge. If i dont review it again in the morning.... everything went well!

The meter photo has a bad case of predictive text. OK, £15 is a bit terrifying, but I meant tarrif. When we first came here we had to shovel 15 £1 coins into the meter, so I signed up for Ringo which adds 30p to each transaction. Now I see that they have a proper card machine (22p extra for credit cards).

Fabulous, quiet location right next to the beach with great sea views from some spots. Also near the Inn on the Beach pub with good food. Open from 11:00-2300.
Excellent cycling area. Ferry to Portsmouth 2 miles away. (Hopefully that will remain open!) Hayling fun fair (kids enjoy it) and a fish and chip shop (untested) a short walk away.
