Stayed here for two nights. Site itself all gravel with low immature hedging between average sized plots that are fully serviced. Toilet/shower facilities very clean. Small shop and cafe type bar serving tapas etc (we didn’t partake). The whole area for miles and miles surrounded by poly tunnels and every now and again a very strong whiff of manure. Saying that a decent stop over. Lots to do for families with children it seems.View all reviews by HappyWanderers
Balerma itself small and not much there. There is a Consum supermarket which is within walking distance.
As nina says, "they have thought of everything" they even have a washing machine dedicated to dog bedding and coats! an iron is provided for human clothes, baby baths in the spotless shower toilet block. table tennis & pool table. Very friendly and helpful staff.View all reviews by nibthedog
I can not think of any way they could improve.
Beautiful site .... but surrounded by “polythene greenhouses” for fruit and vegetables. It is across a quiet road to a shingle beach, more suited for dog walking rather than sunbathing. It is perfect for cycling in either direction as it is flat. We felt that the town of Balerma didn’t have much to recommend it, but maybe we didn’t stay long enough. We stayed a couple of nights on our way to Almeria. If you enjoy the camaraderie and quality of a campsite, then this site is for you! Many folks were there for the duration of the winter.View all reviews by dawsoncp
Lovely site and suitable for large RV’s although the entrance through the barriers is a little tight. Also see my video review at https://youtu.be/tkYNeTpGLUkView all reviews by phodetheus
One of the best sites ever, they’ve thought of everything. Great value for money at €17 with ACSI. Best facilities we’ve seen so far on this trip. Beautiful pool, really good on-site restaurant, very friendly staff with good English. An earlier review said the beach was filthy but that’s not our experience. Rustic maybe, but we loved it. Miles and miles of it with barely a soul in site. Yes it’s surrounded by polytunnels but who cares? We cycled along the coast road, mostly flat and much of it on cycle paths, to a lovely marina with lots of bars and restaurantsView all reviews by nina0548
Lovely campsite, good size pitches and facilities, swimming pool so hot we had to cool off under the showers! Plenty of animation for, children.View all reviews by cathym
26 euros per night including water,WHU, And WiFi.
Watch out for, jellyfish in the sea. Shingle beach again,
Cocktails in the bar 5 euros and men need to wear a shirt!
Campsite surrounded by poly tunnels
Lovely campsite lots of space. Good showers. Nice pool. town a bit deserted.View all reviews by Blossom2017
Nice campsite and not too expensive. €17 for the night with ACSI which includes 4kwh electric. Pool was... refreshing. A bit cool yet, it’ll warm up, but once you’re in it’s not too bad. There is a football pitch, playground and large bouncy thingy for kids. The drinking water tasted odd so we went and bought some instead of drinking it. Beach wasn’t really worth visiting as there was a lot of plastic flying around. There is a consum in the town which is a decent supermarket.View all reviews by northernsoul1977

A great site with the beach across the road.View all reviews by colabear
Lovely pitches with ample room for a 7.5m unit. It only cost €15 per night when using the ACSI card.
Immaculate shower blocks with a walkway leading through the site to each block.
Small bar/ restaurant with reasonable prices. €4.50 for a pint of lager and a coffee.
A short walk to the local town which has a number of supermarkets. Small shop area.
There are dog areas, motorhome jet wash and a large pool area and children's play area.
We did not want to leave and would stay again.
Very busy this year.Very good facilities and value for money.View all reviews by neilowen
Excellent site with 1st class facilities and large clean pitches. Reception and bar staff very friendly and helpful. The free wi-fi struggles at peak times but is about to undergo a major upgrade with 18 new masts being installed. Unfortunately the surrounding area (thousands of acres of polytunnels) and the town let the location of the site down. The town is run down and dirty and the beach is shingle and filthy. If you're happy to stay on site this one comes highly recommended.View all reviews by bluemog

just had 3 nights there very impressed when all the plants have matured and some of the extra facilities are finished it will be excellent. There is going to be a promenade built on the sands to join Balerma to Almerimar this should be completed next year and will give somewhere to cycle or walk.View all reviews by bladeabroad
