Our serviced pitch was great with hardstanding, EHU, water and grey waste drainage although still a little expensive at £32 a night. A downside was the dust kicked up by vehicles along the gravel road. Campfire rental is a nice touch. Showers and loos (plastic preformed) all new and regularly cleaned. Pizzas available to order on Saturdays. Ten min walk to Cheddar village along Strawberry Line (footpath), also small Sainsburys close by.View all reviews by davwal
This site is well placed for access to the village and the Gorge. Sadly its pretty scruffy and the track and hardstands will result in significant dust and gravel being transferred to your motorhome. The new prefabricated shower pods are like those you would get at a festival and whilst they work well are pretty depressing with no natural light or ventilation. There was dog poo in various places that hadnt been sorted by owners or cleared up. Wouldn’t use again!View all reviews by adipet
Nice large site in a super location. Not very busy during our visit in September but suspect it can be. The new plastic shower blocks were brilliant, clean, very hot water. We felt as if we had been power washed after using them.View all reviews by tankiemike
The high price reflects these new facilities.
Easy walk into the village along a cycle path/walk way.
Big hardstanding so in bad weather so i was dry shod & warm with the ehu. No hedge in between yet so you may want to bring a privacy screen for the door. big enough for social isolation with covid19 brewing.View all reviews by stefoknee
showers & loos clearly being revamped, showers are only overhead, but this may change in the revamp.
Helpful : I needed the wifi for work & they were v. helpful sorting that, & with my sl late arrival & early leaving.
don’t follow your sat nav but their excellent directions
First ever trip away in a motorhome and it was perfect for that. Easy access from M5, friendly welcome and flat ground.View all reviews by 7ncj
Flexibility in check in and out was a major draw for us this weekend, as we were meeting my brother and nephew for just two days/ one night. We wanted to get there Sat morning and not leave until after lunch Sunday. We had two vans between two adults and two children their pricing worked out better than it would for some sites, for us too.
Several large groups there this weekend, but somehow it all seems to work.
We did the 'meet the animals' tour which seems to be on a couple of times most days, and the children really enjoyed it.
Great family friendly cycling
Perfect description from susie27 above. It was so refreshing for my little dog to be able to run free! Also that fires are allowed (although you have to use their fire barrels and firewood). Great car boot sale in the next field to look round on Sunday morning. An excellent overnight stop off on the way south, just a short detour off the M5. Warning, my sat nav took me through the centre of Bristol as the shortest route ... don't follow your sat nav, just take the Cheddar Gorge sign off the M5.View all reviews by babs
Just been here for the weekend on a rally and although very basic there are a few EHU's around the edges of the main field but it was very conveniently located if you wish to visit cheddar or the surrounding area. Short walk into the town centre. there are toilets and showers but don't expect the ritz. Lots of families getting together in the other field but did not disturb us. Can accommodate large MH'sView all reviews by susie27
