Not a free site anymore, just spoke to men putting signs up £10 a night to book online, or a phone number. Too many people are using it and locals are complaining so this is how they think it will deter some people.

Stayed one night. Spot is at the end if a bumpy road but delightful even in poor weather. Great views and walking. Dont think you can walk right round and, from the spot, dont expect to cycle! No facilities at all.

Lovely quiet exposed spot with far reaching views across the reservoir. Slightly sloping lay-by at the end of a dead end road. It was reasonably easy to get to but in the morning the sat nav led us out a different way, as we were heading to Northumberland, do not take the first left, out of the dead end road if you're over 6/7M long. The beautiful road eventually takes you over a narrow stone bridge across the next reservoir. The bridge is fine but the right turn onto it is VERY sharp :)
