Stayed here last night in out campervan after being at the nirvana spa. Considering we called the pub at 10.30pm to see if it would be ok to stay over, we couldn't have had a more friendly greeting. Landlords are absolutely smashing people and clearly have a real passion for their pub and customers. It's a fab quirky little pub with beautiful grounds and play area for kids. We didn't have our dog with us but will definitely be returning with him as it was very dog friendly. I've also asked to be added to their mailing list as they hold regular events including their own small music festival every first Saturday in June and also on fathers Day they have a dog fun day - dog agility course.View all reviews by AbbyN
Great little pub, probably the closest stop to Reading, about 20 minutes from the centre. Flat car park, 3 motorhomes there on the night we were there but plenty of room. Owners were really lovely and took time to have a chat with us. Ring ahead to let them know you are coming. Very welcoming, great stop, will be back. Toilet available through the night too.View all reviews by dollydaydream84

A really good stopover. Nice walks into Sonning & River Thames. Large green area for dog walking and chilling out. Food always excellent here and always a good selection of guest beers available.View all reviews by carpetbagger
Bus stop not far away for Reading and Henley.
Note: Always closed on Mondays, so no staying that day or night and best to call in advance to check on space.

Yet another great stopover here at The Flowing Spring - food & drinks remain excellent, as are the staff. Dogs catered for in the enclosed doggy area with water bowls strategically placed, along with a 'poo bin'. See you next year!View all reviews by finareth

Great stop over. Flat car park. No problem getting our 8mtr van in and out.
Food excellent with good choices including vegan and gluten free menu.
Free house (Camra) so good selection (& very well kept).
Nick & Hazel very welcoming.
Will be back.
Totally agree with the previous reviews.View all reviews by beth
Very friendly and our dog was made very welcome.
There is a disabled toilet that can be used overnight.
The pubs website is very informative with details of the menu (gluten free, vegan etc) and walks. Being veggie it was great to have so much choice on a menu. There are even vegan drinks.
If you are visiting in the next ten weeks use the pub website to check the map on how to get here - there is a road closure. Out sat nav couldn't cope!
Stayed here 01/07/17 - Nick & Hazel very good hosts. We were made most welcome with our three small dogs and motorhome [>6m]. The food was v. good & a substantial variety of local and guest beers available. Large enclosed play area [dog friendly with water bowls & poo bags provided]. Not really suitable for larger motorhomes, due to narrow-ish local roads. The Flowing Spring is now a free house totally owned by Nick & Hazel - congratulations!View all reviews by finareth
