|The Tichborne Arms is a quiet, thatched rural pub set in the South Downs National Park. The emphasis is on real ales and good simple food. We welcome dogs and children and have a large garden. The pub features in CAMRA’s ‘Good Beer’ guide and has received numerous accolades on TripAdvisor. In cold weather there are real fires and the interior is lit by candles. A great destination for walkers and cyclists who are always welcome.|

Our first Brit stop in our converted VW T5 , lovely people very welcoming and food was perfect the pies are amazing. Great hearty meal
Also had the cheeseboard it was the best we have ever had.
1000% recommend going here, we will be coming back
Good car park space for our motorhome (7.5m), friendly cosy old village pub. Very tasty food and a fine selection of real ales!View all reviews by clairian2014
Toilet facilities with pub. Large fairly level car park. Didn't notice anything else as we didn't need anything.
We went on a bank holiday Saturday evening and despite it being very busy they found space for us without any qualms. We would love to stop there again on our travels and recommend to others. Very quiet location too, had a great nights sleep!
Great food and beer. Made to feel welcome by landlord and chef. Nice flat car parkView all reviews by ecgas
Lovely stopover on a warm sunny Saturday night. Are outside - good food but not cheap. Lovely landlord and staff, made to feel very welcome. Dog friendly - pub dogs roaming round the garden. Shady flat car park. Very quiet overnight. Will return.View all reviews by frankieandrich
What a Gem, located in lovely chocolate box countryside.View all reviews by garysue
We phoned ahead out of courtesy, Patrick the landlord was more than happy for us to come and stopover for the night. The pub is lovely, the staff are great and very friendly, thanks to Tasha (working the bar) and Ricky (Chef) for a wonderful meal! The locals were chatty towards us as well. all in all a very friendly and lovely place to stopover. Had a nice chat with Patrick, who once owned his own motorhome, so is well accepting of the needs of the motorhomer. There is an outside tap available for water with a hose attached as well as the pub toilets which are unlocked overnight for use if required. You can empty your waste cassette in the outside toilet also. A lovely nights sleep in the very quiet pub car park, awoken in the morning by the cows in the field behind (it was 08:30 anyway) no pressure to leave early, so we enjoyed the countryside air and watching the squirrels and Grouse wander around near our van.
A lovely welcoming and homely place to stopover. Thank you Patrick, very much appreciated!
What a fabulous pub stopover. Warmest of welcomes. Free WiFi in the pub and gardens, great food and cider and toilets and water. You are able to dispose of toilet cassette in outside loos too. You are tucked away in the countryside so very peaceful nights stay yet only about 15 mins from M3 and Winchester. Chocolate box destination, highly recommend.View all reviews by themotoroamers
This place is a one off, beautiful place, great beer, amazing food and really friendly and welcoming to me (alone). I'd make a point of coming back here. Beautiful buildings and countryside and v unusual history. Lovely peaceful car park. They left toilets open for me and made me coffee in the morningView all reviews by mercy
