lovely pub in a beautiful village. food was superb and the landlord very friendly. will definitely return again. there were no facilities (apart from loos when the pub was open) but we dont need them and no view but we were in a car park. the surrounding area was lovely.View all reviews by lisa0167

About 45 mins from the ferry at Portsmouth. We decided to give this stopover a try, what a gem!! Set in a beautiful village, surrounded by chocolate box thatched cottages. It was a quiet Sunday night and although the kitchen was closed the chef went above and beyond and prepared a feast. The landlord, Andrew, engaged with eager conversation, as we were both ex-rugby players and England had just demolished the All Blacks in the world cup semi. The beer/cocktails fabulous.
