In the New Forest, about 5 miles south of Beaulieu, our pub is situated on East Boldre High Street. More than just a pub with rooms, we are one of the few remaining traditional New Forest pubs in Hampshire and are quite famous locally for serving up some of the most outstanding food in the area at very reasonable prices.

CLOSED UNTIL SEPTEMBER, when we arrived the landlord came out and was very apologetic, we were the third moho this morning he had to say no because of complaints by neighbours of van parking itresponsibly in the lane. Hecwill not hVe stop overs now until September ...

Lovely friendly village pub, very warm welcome for us and our dog. Small car park at the rear, and we parked right next to the rear entrance. Food was basic but fine and good value.
Toilets available overnight. Very quiet, we had a great undisturbed nights sleep.
The pub also has 3 B&B rooms, so i assume breakfast may have been available, but we didnt ask. The pub has direct access to the New Forest and reccommended a lovely 5 mile circular walk for us in the morning.

Spent a night there late April and it was lovely ... space is at a premium as only a few parks out the back ... meal was lovely ... staff friendly ... quiet and peaceful country stop ... view was of hedge and fields ... no facilities so MH'ers need to be self sufficient

Great stop over pub! Beers & dinner were very tasty, with the staff really welcoming. Handy to have use of toilet facilities over night, we woke up to donkeys walking past the camper!

Lovely location quaint little pub with great homemade fresh food
Had a lovely meal in the pub, although a little pricey it really was nice
Landlords very accomadating and friendly and made us feel very welcome
Allowed us to hook up to the electric for a donation in the pub charity box which we were more than happy to do
Had acsess to the pub toilets throughout the night
No visits from local wildlife that we saw but obvious sins that they had been in the carpark
Will definitely stay here again if visiting this area

Excellent stopover with access to open heathland close by. A warm and cosy pub with an open fire making it very welcoming. We were joined in the carpark overnight by ponies. Good and hot food to boot!

Stayed for one night between Christmas and New Year, couple and two small dogs. The staff showed us where to park for the EHU and then we went in for a drink by the log fire. Later went back in for a lovely meal. The loos remain open overnight. All was peaceful overnight and we all slept very well. Such a relaxed friendly place, highly recommended.

Emailed ahead very kind and accomodating. Small car park and very busy so patiently waited for car park to clear and tucked ourselves up in a corner. Pub was very busy. Food was a little overpriced and not very warm. But all the staff were really nice. Thankyou for allowing us to overnight. Dogs welcome ????

Phoned ahead previous evening to ask if ok to stopover and to book a table - glad we reserved table as a very popular place on a Saturday night. Friendly welcome and our reserved table by the woodburner with food & drinks made for a lovely evening. Did a walk from the pub on to the New Forest heathland at dusk which was great. Basic pub grub menu - enjoyed the faggots and mash!. Headed off to nearby Hatchet Pond in the morning to have our breakfast a nice spot. Thanks for a perfect pub stopover.

What a gem!
As soon as we turned up here we knew this was our stop for the night.
We got to the pub about 7 and went straight into get food. We were greeted by the landlord who was more than happy for us to stay in the carpark.
We chose the lamb shanks and bolognese from the limited menu. Limited as their fryers we out or order. We werent disappointed absolutely delicious!
The pub is very small but very cosy, with a mix of locals, pub stop overs and those on half term. We were made to feel very welcome. Location right in the middle off the forest.
We were also given access to the pub toilets during the night as well

We stayed for 1 night and will definitely return. Ourselves and our two dogs were made very welcome. The pub is very pretty and the car park has direct access to the forest and is in a very pretty place. The menu is simple but the food is beautifully cooked and reasonably priced for the forest. We loved it and would recommend anyone to stopover here.

we stayed for one night in our campervan with two dogs on a recommendation. The pub is lovely with pretty gardens and right on the edge of the forest with direct access to walking. We were given a warm welcome from staff. The food was excellent and good value for money. We will definately go back again.

We stayed here for 1 night. It is a small car park with limited parking but we spoke with 2 other motorhomers and blocked them in on the understanding we would be up early! The pub was busy and the staff were friendly. We had a lovely meal and a couple of drinks in a friendly environment.
No noise when the pub emptied out.

We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff at The Turf cutters Arms. We had a meal that was a large portion and very tasty. We were shown where to park on a gravel car park behind the pub. It was on level ground and we were even offered electrical hook up. Toilets were left open all night for us to use. Very quiet place to spend the night.

Great pub and very busy with locals. Food reasonably priced. There are no facilities but the landlord did ask if we wanted power we didn’t but there was no apparent electric point. The toilet was available from morning upto closing time. In general the landlord was very friendly and hospitable and welcomed motorhomes. It is a place I would revisit when on the area.

Worth a call ahead. Very busy on a Friday evening and car park was full. Landlord very kindly offered to move his car, but then blocked us a space when another car moved. No charge for the stop over but we did have a meal. Would recommend.
