Nothing to say other than i agree with all previous comments. My only comment is on the overnight charges which seem to differ in the reviews. The wording on the sign is a little confusing in that it looks like MHs are free but, lower down on the sign it refers to vehicles over 3t being chargeable at £6.30. However, this is for commercial vehicles over 3t. We weren’t convinced on this so paid the £6.30 just in case (well worth it so we didn’t really mind) but rang the Council the following morning for clarification and future reference and were told there is no overnight charge for MHs of any weight. Well done Powys!!

Just arrived and paid £3.20 for 4 hrs to takes us to 6pm. Not sure about free for motorhomes as all overnight fees state £6.30. Lovely location next to the river, children's play park, boating on the river with cafe and arcade. Short walk into Brecon town.

Young couple with 2 dogs. We stayed for 1 night in this car park, we had 3 other vans as neighbours. Great location just outside of Brecon and free to stay from 6pm to 8am - we paid an extra £1.30 to stay until 10am. As with many car parks in Brecon, the signs indicate that motorhomes/campervans are able to stay 1 night in 7. There is a large park right next to the car park, ideal for dog walking and provides bags and plenty of bins. The leisure centre in Brecon (approx 10 mins from this car park) also allows you to use the showers for £2, great alternative to having to go on a campsite.

Stayed the night with 4 other camper/motorhomes. Easy walk into Brecon along the river. Very quite during the night with only the sound of the weir in the distance audible. Will visit again

Lovely and quiet, lots of space even though there were 5 other MH's & camper vans, good walks long or short. Perfect overnight sleeping stop on arriving Wales before exploring the beacons the following day. Toilets are along the path in the next parking area from the boathouse & are 20p to gain access. very clean. Great for dog owners.
Would visit again.

Stayed here for one night, arriving at 21:00. It was very quiet with just one M/H and one campervan parked up, The views and sounds of the river Usk were exceptional, as were the walks. Very quiet night with first activity about 08:45 when the bins were being emptied and the boathouse was being opened up. It is very cheap to park for the day and cost £3.20 from 08:00 until 18:00 and its free from 18:00 until 06:00. Definitely will stay there again soon.

What a location! Right on the river by a weir! Lovely to sit and watch the world go by, it was very busy in day but we managed to get a space. It was BH and lovely weather. Free overnight,4 hours in the day was £3.20 - that is maximum time limit in day. Free time starts at 6pm. Brecon a shirt flat walk along the river. Lovely and quiet

This is a good parking spot for the night with a Lovely 10 minute walk into town along the river. We had a quite night and a lovely wonder around town. There is a toilet block near by which was open when were here. The small cafe was closed. Bins are also provided. A lovely view of the river.

Riverside car park, fairly level with easy walk into town. Cafe on site but toilets on adjacent playing fields locked when we visited. Good dog walking along river. Some noise from local youths caused one van to move to other part of car park but went quiet before too late. Free to park from 6pm to 8am, easy to get an all day ticket for longer stays. Great overnight spit.

Like most Welsh car parks, it is possible to stay overnight in you motorhome. This is a nice riverside car park with a café adjacent.
The usual lads came around at dusk with their cars but were quiet enough except when they left later in the evening.
Still, a nice night and a morning stroll along the river chatting to some dog walkers made a good start to the day.

Visited this spot quite a few times now and love it! A level carpark with great walks alongside the river and the surrounding countryside (can be a little rough in places but well worth the effort). Easy walk into the town area with shops, restaurants and pubs (I recommend the 'Brecon Tap'). The Cathedral is also very close and worth a visit. There is a cafe and boat hire in the carpark (closed during the winter) and there are refurbished public toilets in the adjacent parking area which are closed overnight. Overnight parking for motorhomes is free between 6pm and 8am, normal charges apply outside of these hours. The "No Camping" sign is for tents, motorhomes and campervans are fine.

We have stayed here a number of times. It is walking distance to the town. Quiet location although it is a popular place for local people to be in the summer months for days out. Good views of Pen-y-Fan.
