Lovely pub, lovely location next to canal. great staff, good food and drink. Kerry and the crowd made my stay wonderful. Free to stay, as long as you use the pub for a meal or drinks

We contacted Kelly on our way home from Lake Windemere and we were able to stay the night in their car park. Kelly and Simon are very lovely people and couldnt have been more accommodating. The pub itself is great and directly by the oxford canal. Unfortunately we couldnt try the food as the kitchen was refitted, but the chippie down the road was great and reasonable priced. Even the dog was allowed in the pub!

Host could not be more welcoming and the pub has a fresh water for Motorhomes.
The Car Park is tarmac and mostly flat, just need to pick the right spot.
Will definitely use again, perfect North/South stop not far from the M1/M6 Motorways.
The Menu had plenty of choice and the food was really good and at a fair price; good beer choice also!

Very friendly site and pub, good food and nothing was too much trouble. Parking is at rear of car park looking out onto the canal. Very wet when we were there but I can imagine this being lovely in the summer and great base camp for walks or just drinking in the pub. Free with Britstops, although to be honest they never asked.
Also had bathroom for hire, although we never used this.

We stopped here on the 10th Feb for the weekend. Parked opposite the canal on an extremely level part of the car park. Kelly and Simon are great hosts, their welcome was lovely. Food was all day and very nice as were the locals. Dog friendly snug area. Boaters use it and heard many an interesting tale. Nice area with canal walks. Will be returning.

We stayed a night at the Barley Mow in October 2017, so weren't able to take full advantage of the location, but still has a great stay. We booked ahead (by phone) and asked to be next to the canal, when we got there the whole area was barricaded off FOR US!!!. We were told to move the barrier and pitch anywhere!! Amazing Service, Fantastic Location, Great Beer and although the food looked great, we didn't dine here (eaten earlier) so we got a nights stay for cost of a couple of pints!!!!!!!!

Stayed here on Saturday 12th. Everyone went out of their way to accommodate all the motorhomes that turned up. Fabulous setting by the canal. A lovely quarry walk as well. Food was great. I had Cajun Salmon Steak and it was gorgeous. Lovely staff. Will definitely be back

Not a lot that I can add t what has already been said. This is an outstanding stopover. If with dogs then the quarry park half a mile along the canal bank is a great walking area and if you are carrying passengers then the Barley Mow also offers rooms BnB. My Sister stopped and the value for money was excellent.

What a lovely place. In a small village between the river Avon and the Oxford canal which backs onto the pub.
Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Everybody seems very happy☺ Food is reasonable and well priced.
There were 3 other motorhomes in the car park when we arrived and we were made very welcome.
An absolute delight to stay here

Great pub and very friendly owners. Beware there are only a few flat pitches and you would need sizable ramps for any of the other places in the car park due to sloping. Food and beer was excellent and atmosphere was good.

This is a lovely place to visit you can walk along the canal to the old Quarry, and indeed around the quarry.
Just up the road is a lovely old church with a foot path through some fields nice for the dog.
the food was excellent and if you manage to get the space next to the canal it would be a 9 for location.
the entrance into the car park is amply wide enough much better than google maps would have you believe.

We stayed over Boxing Day evening, and were welcomed by the very friendly landlord and landlady. This is a great pub selling a nice pint. We parked adjacent to the canal and walked the dogs along the path and took a look at the moored up boats. There is a co op in the village for your essentials. We would definitely stay again, maybe in the summer next time !
