Have just returned from 1 nights stay. Lovely, clean site. Great position and nice views. Cycled along the beach to WSM (15mins) but there is a ‘proper’ route if the beach is wet. Didn’t have time to go towards Brean but the footpath/cycleway looked busy and well used! We were self contained but had a look at the facilities and they looked good and clean. Would fully recommend a stay here.

we only stayed for one night enroute to Cornwall but thought it was a gem of a site in a lovely quiet location. The campsite is just off the Brean Way cycle path which is also perfect for running or walking. Would have liked more time to explore this lovely spot. The cafe just outside the marina gates is a bonus and serves freshly cooked food

Lovely site (even though storm Dennis made it a very wet visit) and will visit again in a few months. Short walk to the beach turning left out of the site and a right turn takes you to a couple of pubs that are dog friendly. We had a meal in The Dolphin which was lovely. All the usual amenities on site with a boat launch also next door although this will be tidal as this is on the river Severn. Didnt use toilets or showers but all looks to be clean and tidy.

Only had one night here, but I’m sure we’ll be back. Very friendly and helpful young couple now own the site and are trying to make improvements as quickly as possible. New surface to the access road to pitches being laid after we left. Nice views from most pitches. Nature reserve next door, local walks to view points. Choice of two pubs within walking distance - we ate at the Ship, which was good. Small local shop also within walking distance.
Only 2 showers, not sure how busy they’d get when site full, but warm, clean, adjustable temp. Toilet block also clean and warm, but basic. Paid £22.50 for pitch, 2 adults and dog.(NB dogs are £1, not free as indicated in info above).

Great little site. Perfect location for good dog friendly off lead walking and access to WSM. Facilities basic but clean. Friendly operators. Only down side is that the main access road through the site could do with a bit of surfacing improvement as quite a few potholes.

New owners katie and Rob started last month , Lovely welcome and we paid £24.50 per night dogs free. They are putting in more hardstandings . From 4 November the price goes to £20 per night Until December. The pub is 5 mins away we go to The Ship. Cafe just outside campsite. Bus stop also on the road outside. They are trying to get wi-fi and they are putting in more hardstandings as they turn people away as no good on grass in the winter. We enjoyed our time there . The view of the river or the lake both are lovely. There are plenty of walks around.

A super little site. New owners are friendly and really committed to making this site special. They have added some more hard standings with the plots curving around the salt water lake, very picturesque with the cliff above. Managed to get booked at the last minute due to a cancellation. Site was full but not congested and no queues for the simple, but clean, facilities. A few minutes from the beach, a good walk/cycle to Brean Down, and a cafe at the entrance. Will be back without a doubt

Lovely little site with pitches around a saltwater lake. £25.00 per night. Situated by a working boat yard. Showers by reception were warm and clean and toilets up by pitches were a little old but also clean. 2 pubs nearby, about 5 minutes walk, we had a lovely meal in The Ship Inn and were made very welcome. Bus stop outside for an hourly bus to Weston. Didn't get to beach nearby as only here for one night. Would definitely stay again, some nice walks from site.

Little gem. Facilities indeed basic but clean and well maintained. Neat lawns/gardens, good gravel pitches (we used blocks but could have managed without). Next to Country Park, beach 5mins away, pubs 5 mins away, cafe/bar on site (10am-4pm). Peaceful, friendly, what more do you want?

Facilities basic but clean, price when we went was £25 per night and £1 for a dog. Nice peaceful site with plenty of dog walks, not far to walk to Weston Supermare if you are able, bus stop nearby also national cycle route nearby, it is in a working boatyard, however the camping area is well away from the main boatyard, and for us is interesting. Will be going back. Also a corner shop nearby and 2 pubs.

This site is well located...tge facilities are poor and I have to say the customer service is awful in fact no customer service what so ever not friendly at all.Its a real pity because this site with some TLC and change the staff would be a really nice site ...but it is very over priced and then the extras on top....i think the prices and poor customer service are tgere to deter business

Not a very friendly welcome, even though it was £24 pn for a February stay, given a leaflet for all do's and don't, more don'ts than do's and all additional costs. i.e. £8 per extra adult £3 per child, charges for day visitors etc. 3 showers, 1 toilet open and the showers were pathetic. This site is over priced, poorly run and being in working boatyard would not recommend it

After much deliberation 3 outfits stayed here this weekend. It is a great little site that needs a bit more TLC and perhaps a course on customer relations from the warden.
It is ideally located for trips into WSM or just touring the local area on foot or by bike.
there are a couple of bars nearby and café at the entrance.

We have been here twice the pitches are based around a small lake both hard standing and grass very quiet site could be miles from anywhere based on the edge of the village of Uphill shops and pubs only a short walk away
Pleasant walks from the site and an easy stroll into Weston . Showers and toilets on site pretty good cafe on the approach road to the site very good would come again

A promising forecast for good weather prompted a quick weekend away so I rang to check for availability and phone was answered efficiently but I felt rather abruptly. I was informed there were spaces available but individual pitches cannot be reserved - was hoping to reserve a hard standing pitch. The approach to the site is through the village of uphill and left turn into a boat yard. The site has 9 hard standing pitches and 19 grass pitches all of which overlook the central lake/pond. There was plenty of choice of pitches and in the end it wasn't necessary to use a hard standing pitch and we settled for a grass pitch, the ground was firm and whilst not sloping was slightly uneven but soon sorted with levelling blocks.
There is a portacabin block at the edge of the lake with toilets and dish washing facilities plus a separate shower block in the reception building which requires a code for access, there is also a drive over service point near the reception block. Poor mobile data reception on vodafone and no wifi around the lake but some BT Wifi available around the reception area - reminds me I must get a wifi booster!
Not part of the campsite, but near the entrance, is a cafe where breakfast can be obtained and was proving popular.
The 'Mendip Way' long distance path starts outside the campsite and runs 80km all the way to Froome, but if that's too far, there are still some lovely walks in the area and a walk up to St Nicholas church which dates back to 1159, at the top of the hill is a must to get the best vistas of the surrounding area.
Approx 300m down the road, exiting left from the site, is Uphill beach where you can park directly on the sand - even with a heavy MH. The beach is also dog friendly unlike the beaches in Weston-super-mare which are a further 20min walk along the beach.
Overall a lovely site that although close to the "Kiss me Quick" attractions of Weston is a million miles away in terms of peace and tranquility.
