Stayed here for two nights, used the top car park as it was a bit quieter and had a better view, the access was okay with our van but wouldn't want to try and get there in a large unit. We did the Merrick and Murder Hole walk which was a tough 7 hour loop!

Parked here for the Merrick trail. Access from Glentrool and there is no weight limit restrictions but i wouldnt want to travel here in a large unit (we are 6m). Didnt stay overnight but others were and wild camping in tents too. Great spot.

Be aware , new 3ton weight limit before carpark where a culvert goes under track. Sign for it is 2 miles back as you cross bridge at visitor's centre.

Overnight stop stopped in large lay by before Bruce's stone. Numerous walks to be done only managed round the loch walk. Quiet location in November .

One of a number of overnight opportunites along this stretch of road.
This point is up from the car park for the Bruces Stone monument (not the real stone) and is at the very end of the road before the road goes to a private lodge. There is a waymarked walk around the loch which takes about 2 -3 hours (follow the green marker posts or pick up a map from the visitors centre at the start of the road.)
