This used to be good value at £10 per night, and free if you ate in the pub.View all reviews by riverboat2001
It has now gone up to £15, (still free if you eat in the pub) The pub itself has a small car-park, but go through the gate and into the field and you could probably get 300 vans in.
No water, or electric, just a parking spot in a slightly sloping field. Sad to say will no longer stop here at this price.
The only good thing left about this spot is that 20 mins down the road is Great Missenden station.
A convenient spot for an overnight near Gt Missenden but beware....View all reviews by clarky51
We anticipated free parking when eating at the pib but although we spent £55 on food and drinks (with friends who joined us there), we were asked to pay another £16 on top when sttling the bill in spite of pointing out the details here. “That was the previous owner, different now” he said. We were given a warm reception on the phone when we rang earlier and the staff generally were friendly.
Gravel car park on slight slope. Hook up cable present but not connected. Very busy pub and local youths were vert noisy in the CP until late.
Food was decent pub grub at readonable price.
As of 12 July 2018, the pub is closed awaiting new owners. Pity as we were going to stay there!View all reviews by davidxhobbs
A small area to park the van as the field was muddy. The pub is used by local builders who took up the best space. The main car park is sloping. Good for a single night, road close by is noisy. Food average.View all reviews by colky57
Great pub for a stopover, eat and stay free. Staff great, food great, beer great and prices really reasonable. Bit of road noise from adjacent busy road, but most MH'ers will be used to that and it won't worry them. All in all, a very good experience.View all reviews by dobbo1950
Excellent location for visiting Buckinghamshire attractions. Great pub with excellent food.View all reviews by rogerstandish
Nice location with good food and local beer. Great base for visiting the Roald Dahl museum.View all reviews by jazzash
We have used this pubstop twice to visit london. It was free because we ate and drank in the pub over the two separate weekends.View all reviews by Tommyj
Staff are friendly and the food was good and not expensive. The town is a 10 min walk where you can get the train into London, theres a coop for bits you may need and also the Roald Dahl museum is there.
We were told to use the outside toilet to empty the cassette and there was also fresh water.
We stayed here for a weekend and have dinner Saturday night so free to park in a very big open field,View all reviews by cbf4
But some Saturdays the field is used for hot air balloons. Gets busy. Good food and friendly pub..
