The sign at the entrance says Lower Micklin Farm NOT Lower Micklin Touring Park, look for the tiny caravan sign opposite. Website confusingly says dont go to Micklin farm!! Dont use the footpath to Alton if it has been raining, unless you have wellies. You can't get through the stile to Denstone either because it is overgrown. When we were there, the nice and clean facilities (2 toilets and 2 showers each) were inadequate as the site was full. the gravel was very sparse and muddy, OK otherwise.

lovely little site 10 minutes from Alton Towers. Huge pitches, spotless modern shower block and very friendly owners. There is a small play park for smaller children and a field just for ball games complete with goal posts. Another field with two Alpacas and Oscar the Border Collie who's very friendly and loves you throwing a stick for him. This site is perfect if visiting Alton Towers, literally 10 minute drive. £20 per night with EHU for two people, extra £5 PPPN So family of 4 was £30. Tip if you are going to Alton Towers and are driving your motorhome there, you get directed to the coach park and you don't need to pay for parking as there isn't a barrier on the way out.

Lovely clean site, a great walk across fields to village of Alton. Play area for the kids but a much better one once you go into Alton. Not far from Alton towers theme park.
