Stayed for a weekend in July 2020, shortly after Covid-19 restrictions were lifted. Our first time at this site and we were very impressed. Facilities were spotlessly clean, modern and immaculate. Good, well spaced, hardstanding pitches, all with EHU. Very helpful and friendly staff. Bar area, but obviously outside only in current Covid-19 circumstances. Very easy access from A6. Fantastic area for walking, cycling, sightseeing. We’ll definitely be returning.

Not one for us, a rather large commercial site, felt packed in. Used ourfacilities so can't comment. Hardstandings broken up gravel, very hard. Our pitch was on edge of grass area, kids and dads constantly playing football. No respect given to pitch, people constantly walking through. Used site to cycle Monsal Trail, but no easy access. No views. Left 2 nights early.

Very nice site, nice flat hard standing pitch, small bar and shop, showers and loos spotless. Bakewell is a 20 minute walk, pavement all the way, there is an Aldi 10 minute walk same direction as Bakewell looks quite new. Nice river walk nearby. Ashford small village opposite direction to Bakewell 10 min walk couple of nice pubs, had a pint in Bulls Head in beer garden, they do meals which looked very nice, all in all we had a nice 4 day break

Had 5 nights there from 19th July. Great site and ideally situated for Bakewell. Lovely walk into town. Great monday market. Monsal trail and Wye valley easily accesible from site.

Impressed with Covid 19 precautions. Hand sanitizers and lovely modern shower and toilet blocks closed for cleaning twice daily. Bar open and outside seating.

Pitches were spacious and although the site was busy it didnt feel overcrowded. A lovely spot will definately be returning.

Enjoyed our two night stay on this site, which has seasonal pitches, statics, tents as well as hard standings for tourers, and we will return. It is conveniently situated just off the A6 near to Ashford in the Water and about 20 minutes walk into Bakewell. The bus to Bakewell, Matlock, Derby and Buxton is hourly and we used this on our visit to Bakewell for the Monday market. There is an Aldi, which has parking suitable for motorhomes, about 5 minutes away. Haddon Hall is worth visiting.

Stayed for 2 nights . Site is great. Nice bar on site and all facilities are close to pitches. Toilets clean. Bakewell is a lovely village about half an hour walk. We got a taxi back with 2 dogs. Cost 5 quid. Would stay again

Easy to find and a great location for Bakewell and the Monsall trail. Good showers in a clean toilet block. The site has its own lively bar and a pop up pizza oven appeared on Friday, delicious. Negatives - The site was full for BH and felt packed in. the gaps between pitches were fine but the road feels too narrow. HARRRD standing take a lump hammer and titanium pegs. Not for us, but great for young family's with kids.

Lovely site near Bakewell and friendly, helpful staff. Our satnav sent us into a scrapyard so just take turning by the brown campsite sign. Lovely riverside walk into Bakewell took us about 45 minutes and the town was lovely with market day on Mondays. The Bakewell pudding was delicious! Walked along the pavement on the way back and visited the new Aldi. Didn't use the shower block but had a look and they were very luxurious. There is a bar on site which opened the first weekend of April.

A large hilly park on the edge of Bakewell. Most hardstandings have a slight slope but normal chocs ok. Fantastic shower and amenities block, very new and spotlessly clean, even Radio 2 piped in to listen to. Walk into Bakewell obviously hilly but all pavement, new Aldi halfway opens 29th March and Thornbridge Brewery a little further on has a brewery tap and shop that entertained us for a couple of hours whilst it rained, well that was my excuse! I’m sure site will be really busy in summer when bar is open but although we saw a few arrivals and there are loads of seasonal vans and mobiles it was quiet. If visiting Bakewell town this site is perfect.

Fab site, with great staff. 2 shower and toilet blocks which are kept spotless. Bar and small shop onsite. No food, but you can get deliveries by local takeaways etc. Easy access into Bakewell. Different walks take different times. Mile and a bit to walk along the road, can get the bus too. Beautifull place.
Rockhard hardstandings, so take tough pegs. Love this place.

Large site in several areas. Some have views, others do not. Wi-if is extra here. Good sized pitches and most are flat on gravel. Site has a basic shop, plus a bar. Friendly and helpful staff. Book ahead online to save, as turning up is more expensive. Close to Bakewell town with a range of independent shops.

We used this site as a base for Bakewell when our friends got married there. It is clean, well maintained with good facilities. Easy walking distance to Bakewell.
