The places are organised in groups of three and are 4 m wide and 9.5 m long. Each place has its own electricity outlet (10amp). At the site entrance there is a service point where you can draw water and discharge waste water. There is also a container park with containers for glass, PMD, paper and residual waste. The sanitary building is equipped with toilets and washing facilities. There are also a number of (slightly more expensive) hardstandings with hookup available for longer stays and these allow use of the adjacent sports stadium showering and washing facilities. Late arrivals can use the automated booking in machine.

Great site for a stopover. Due to the closeness of the pitches it's not possible to put out table and chairs and the constant humming from the factory can become quite irritating but a couple of glasses of wine helps ;) brilliant to visit the menin gate for the last post, 10 minute walk from the site and the town itself is lovely

Lovely stop over for our trip. Menin Gate ceremony a must (be early for a decent spot). Other WW1 sites locally, if that is your thing. Staff very friendly, easy to get on with, really laid back. Lovely town. Recommend.
PS: Visit 'Mesen' (Messine) roughly fifteen minutes south, you will find the memorial to the 1914 Christmas Truce Football Match, in the town square. And check out the church.

I'll endorse all what others have said. We used the site as a quick stop over for Calais but having been into Yown for the Last Post Ceremony we realised the town has more to offer. Will stop at least two nights next time.
Odd arrangement in that you pay a 4€ deposit for an access card. On leaving you need to go through the barrier and then walk back to reception to reclaim the deposit.

This site is an easy walk from Menin Gate and the 8pm Last Post ceremony each day. We have stayed here several times due to its excellent loaction. We prebooked this time and were allocated pitch 18 (of 18). Be aware satellite reception is impossible from pitches 10 thru 18 because of the trees. It appeared access would be OK from the other pitches but reception refused to let me change to one of the three empty spaces opposite as I had booked in and paid. There is free wifi available if you ask.
The facilities in the campsite are getting very tired. When I showered most of the water sprayed across the walls from the fixed outlet and the water temperature was fixed and quite cool.

Just a word of warning: We arrived hoping to stay for the night but found the barrier was down saying "CAMPSITE CLOSED" so drove away and stayed at another aire. The next day I did some further investigating and found the small print on the sign saying Motorhomes wishing to stay the night should walk through to reception. DOH !!

we just had 2 nights at Jeugdstadion and very pleasant it Was , automated receptionwhich was easily managed when arriving out of normal hours ,. Toilets, showers were clean and there is recycling bins and a grey waste water disposal point ( Motorhome water point broken during our stay ) , when we stayed the cost was €15 with €4 deposit for barrier card and free wifi
As other people have commented it is only a short walk to the Menin Gate Memorial and through into town for shops, and the Flanders Field Museum
The Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate at 8pm is a must do experience, very moving, and I would suggest get there earlier to get good vantage point ,
the down side regarding the site was the constant humming coming from the factory behind the campsite 24/7 while we were there

Just spent 3 nights on the Stellplatz of Jeugdstadion and very pleasant it has been too, nice welcome from the reception, we had booked for 2 nights online but managed to get an extra night, it does get very busy and I would recommend to pre book. Toilets, showers are clean and there is recycling bins and a drive over grey waste water disposal, when we stayed the cost was €15 with free wi-fi
As other people have commented it is only a short walk to the Menin Gate Memorial and through into town for shops, restaurants and the excellent Flanders Field Museum (allow a minimum 2 hours)
The Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate at 8pm is a must do experience, very moving, and I would suggest to get there 7 30pm latest.
Now planning tomorrow's adventure elsewhere

Nice spot for a short break or overnight, we've done both. 10 minute walk into town. The Flanders Fields museum is a must, as is the Last Post at the Menin Gate. The Aire is fine broken up into 3 van pitches so so long as you aren't in the middle you have grass as well. Showers on campsite adjacent are fine.

Great place to stay when visiting Ypres. You can walk to the Menin Gate and other Museums.
Good facilities. You are able to book on line so you are confident of a slot!
