The places are organised in groups of three and are 4 m wide and 9.5 m long. Each place has its own electricity outlet (10amp). At the site entrance there is a service point where you can draw water and discharge waste water. There is also a container park with containers for glass, PMD, paper and residual waste. The sanitary building is equipped with toilets and washing facilities. There are also a number of (slightly more expensive) hardstandings with hookup available for longer stays and these allow use of the adjacent sports stadium showering and washing facilities. Late arrivals can use the automated booking in machine.

Visited August 2019. Great site! Friendly lady at the desk, free wifi, toilets, shower and washing blocks (2) available for everybody now at the 15€ price (additional 4€ deposit for gate card). Three point EHU (no reverse polarity) and water point at toilet blocks. Short 10-15 min walk to the Menin Gate. Great site and a great town. Faultless visit!

Mostly quiet bit a little background noise from a generator nearby. Toilets not open the time of year we went but not a problem for us. 5 minute walk to town. Lovely meal and to the Menin Gate for the Last Post. Would use again.

I thought that 19€, for me and the dog, was a little over the top but it was quiet and handy for the town.
Woke up in the morning, it was -1 degree C and the water point, which is very awkwardly positioned, had frozen up.

Great location with Ypres town centre a short stroll away. Very clean toilet block and nice hardstand pitch which at 15 euros per night was good value. Warm welcome, pleasant and roomy site. Really enjoyable stay. Cycling paths in Belgium are fantastic!

It was ok! When we arrived we were told that only one pitch was available on the “Touring Section” at a cost of 20 euros plus 4 euros returnable for a security pass. On the pitch (A8) we were allocated, we were unable to properly level the van. However, all other services were fine with the exception of wifi which we found difficult and not usable.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the city and returned to the Menin Gate for the daily evening memorial service. It was touching to see so many school children in attendance. Only a few kilometrrs away is Tyne Cot CWG Cemetary, also worth a visit.

Really handy site to visit Leper and the Menin Gate. We stayed one night and paid £15. Short 15 minute walk to the Menin gate and the town centre. Facilities are ok but must admit not the best we've ever seen. Only a hour hour drive to calais from here, so handy for a stop over.

A good aire with showers, EHU and water. The site has a campsite too with larger pitches, but I reckon the aire part was absolutely fine. We stayed for 3 days and paid 15 euros per night. We also hired bikes for a day at 10 euros per bike. A great location for Ypres, a 15 min walk. But also well positioned generally for WW1 battlesfields.

This site is very convenient for a visit to the lovely city of Ypres and the Menin Gate. It is also a convenient stop off before Calais. The pitches are okay but a bit tight but fine for overnighting. The shower block is a bit tired with shower heads spraying water everywhere so difficult to keep clothes dry. There is unfortunately a metal recycling centre near by with a constant drone of machinery and the odd clanking. More noticeable at night. So if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs! It gets full up so worth booking, an easy on line process.

Stopped for 4 nights. Easy to get into the town and cycle the 45k battle field route. Only 2 showers and one gents toilet. Quite busy but nit a problem. If you are pre booked auto book in available. Must use your card to get out before getting the €4 back. You can hear the last post at 8 pm from site its so close.

Great site within ten minutes walk from Menim Gate. Good for cycling in the area. Purchased a cycling map called Peace cycle route for 4e from site which took us on a circular route of 45 km where we visited many of the WW1 landmarks and cemeteries. Ideal site for visiting the area and would return. We were there for four nights, wished we could have stayed longer. Site is well kept, although a little cramped in parts.

Turned up late after the reception had closed, we’re still able to camp at site as two ladies greeted us and we managed to communicate even though our French is basic and they didn’t speak English.
One of our gas bottled was empty and the young lady went off to search for where we could buy one, she came back with a map and showed us where the store was - very helpful.....

You get a refund of 4 euros when you hand in your card for the site making it a reasonably priced site.

We don’t stay on sites very often as we generally go wild but this was great .... however showers were closed due to the time of year .. very easy walking into town through the leisure centre complex out into the canal ....
15 minute walk to the Menin Gate and the central square.
Flanders museum in the centre was well worth the entrance price €20for a family ticket. You would need to give yourself at least 2 hours for this.
Yepres Burgers - best burger ever !

Great site for a stopover. Due to the closeness of the pitches it's not possible to put out table and chairs and the constant humming from the factory can become quite irritating but a couple of glasses of wine helps ;) brilliant to visit the menin gate for the last post, 10 minute walk from the site and the town itself is lovely

Lovely stop over for our trip. Menin Gate ceremony a must (be early for a decent spot). Other WW1 sites locally, if that is your thing. Staff very friendly, easy to get on with, really laid back. Lovely town. Recommend.
PS: Visit 'Mesen' (Messine) roughly fifteen minutes south, you will find the memorial to the 1914 Christmas Truce Football Match, in the town square. And check out the church.

I'll endorse all what others have said. We used the site as a quick stop over for Calais but having been into Yown for the Last Post Ceremony we realised the town has more to offer. Will stop at least two nights next time.
Odd arrangement in that you pay a 4€ deposit for an access card. On leaving you need to go through the barrier and then walk back to reception to reclaim the deposit.

This site is an easy walk from Menin Gate and the 8pm Last Post ceremony each day. We have stayed here several times due to its excellent loaction. We prebooked this time and were allocated pitch 18 (of 18). Be aware satellite reception is impossible from pitches 10 thru 18 because of the trees. It appeared access would be OK from the other pitches but reception refused to let me change to one of the three empty spaces opposite as I had booked in and paid. There is free wifi available if you ask.
The facilities in the campsite are getting very tired. When I showered most of the water sprayed across the walls from the fixed outlet and the water temperature was fixed and quite cool.

Just a word of warning: We arrived hoping to stay for the night but found the barrier was down saying "CAMPSITE CLOSED" so drove away and stayed at another aire. The next day I did some further investigating and found the small print on the sign saying Motorhomes wishing to stay the night should walk through to reception. DOH !!

we just had 2 nights at Jeugdstadion and very pleasant it Was , automated receptionwhich was easily managed when arriving out of normal hours ,. Toilets, showers were clean and there is recycling bins and a grey waste water disposal point ( Motorhome water point broken during our stay ) , when we stayed the cost was €15 with €4 deposit for barrier card and free wifi
As other people have commented it is only a short walk to the Menin Gate Memorial and through into town for shops, and the Flanders Field Museum
The Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate at 8pm is a must do experience, very moving, and I would suggest get there earlier to get good vantage point ,
the down side regarding the site was the constant humming coming from the factory behind the campsite 24/7 while we were there

Just spent 3 nights on the Stellplatz of Jeugdstadion and very pleasant it has been too, nice welcome from the reception, we had booked for 2 nights online but managed to get an extra night, it does get very busy and I would recommend to pre book. Toilets, showers are clean and there is recycling bins and a drive over grey waste water disposal, when we stayed the cost was €15 with free wi-fi
As other people have commented it is only a short walk to the Menin Gate Memorial and through into town for shops, restaurants and the excellent Flanders Field Museum (allow a minimum 2 hours)
The Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate at 8pm is a must do experience, very moving, and I would suggest to get there 7 30pm latest.
Now planning tomorrow's adventure elsewhere

Nice spot for a short break or overnight, we've done both. 10 minute walk into town. The Flanders Fields museum is a must, as is the Last Post at the Menin Gate. The Aire is fine broken up into 3 van pitches so so long as you aren't in the middle you have grass as well. Showers on campsite adjacent are fine.
