Well tended site but very busy. Spotless facilities. Some noise from the train track running along side but liveable with. Pitches are a bit tight for larger units (8m motorhome). Plenty of toilets/showers and good facilities for motorhomes. Lots of tents when we were there. Bit of a walk to the lake itself if you're carrying a SUP or canoe. Good entertainment and facilities for kids.

Lovely site, our second time using it as an overnight stop. Very busy (late July 19). The original pitch given to us was very compact. Luckily we couldn’t get on it as the neighbour had parked their car on it so we were given another pitch which was far better. Lovely walk / cycle around the lake, swim and evening meal in the on site restaurant.

So many sites like these are now almost all motorhomes and caravans. Only a few tents are accommodated nowadays.
Stopping for 2-3 nights will give you enough time to circuit the lake, and enjoy some swimming, ride over to the castle and ascend hubdreds of steps to the top, visit the island, and go further afield to walk the gorge (see their map supplied).
Fresh bread every morning, lovely washrooms, water close by - this is a very popular place.

Concur with the information provided by other recent reviews. It would appear that many grass pitches have been re- seeded and are not yet in use. Majority of units have been sited on gravel pitches.Facilities clean.
There’s a train line beside the site, not visible but certainly audible ! Occasional trains only, just heard one at 9,30pm.....
Price for a VWT5 campervan + 2 adults was €33 inc EHU. For us the top end of our budget.
It’s early season, plenty of spaces, no need to book.
Unchallenging bike ride around the lake about 5 miles.

This was a very busy campsite.
However the facilties were good and the location (virtually right on the edge of Lake Bled) is good.
We cycled to the Vintner Gorge which was well worth the visit.
After we left we went to Camp Danica at Bohinj which was way quieter and you can get trains between Bled and Bohinj.

Agree with all that has been said. A few tips that may help though; if you plan to come in high season book, we have seen so many MHs being turned away; check your pitch before driving up to it especially, if you are in a big unit, some are really quite tight and we were allocated our pitch, there is a service point just after the reception to pull into; I only gave 8 for the view, but walk between a 100-300m and it is stunning.

A very busy site. Get there early or book. We had a good flat hard standing pitch near the front of the site. Some pitches are doubles so make sure you are in the right bit. Even in heavy rain it drained relatively well and we had no problems with flooding etc. The toilet and shower facilities are very modern and very clean. Full marks for them. Nice outside bar. Not especially impressed with the restaurant food. Sunbathing lawn (free) outside site. Small land train from site round lake.

They have been doing a lot of work on making the pitches all weather. So no more worry about getting stuck if it rains. Pitches can be a little tight for larger vans but they gave us two for the price of one, so pretty comfortable really. Facilities are immaculate as they appear new. Lake Bled is as previously stated, quite stunning. Take a drive to Lake Bohinj and a walk up to the Savica Falls if you are able, well worth the effort.

Return visit after a 10 year absence and it didn't disappoint. Restaurant and shop still open in Oct. Staff very helpful. Pitches were a bit churned after a lot of rain but cannot blame the site for that. All facilities very clean and maintained.
Next to one of the most beautiful lakes in Europe ... what more can we ask for?

Arrived after a couple of days of heavy rain, most of the pitches were rutted and puddled but as it was past the main season there were plenty to choose from, we found a reasonably dry one. Site facilities are very good with heated shower blocks, a bar, restaurant and bathing area. This site is directly across from the lake and the cycle/walking track around it. The light here gives the views of the lake a stunning colour. The town is OK but very touristy.

Turned up in August with no booking and was lucky to get a pitch albeit on the overflow area at the front of the site, but this suited us perfectly as it offered a bit of shade. The campsite is well equipped and it's location is perfect for exploring the wonders of Bled and it's surroundings. You really need a couple of days here to get the most out of the area. We visited the island, castle and Vintnar Gorge. Recommended site but probably best to book in advance

Spent 2 nights here at Camping Bled. We were amazed at the beauty of Lake Bled; really didn't expect much, but WOW! The campsite however was 'initially' disappointing and not actually on the lake as we expected; it is actually oppostie and no views of the lake from pitches. We arrived at a very busy time of day and were not prepared for the hap-hazard pitching, no marked pitches and people were spreading themselves out..We drove around for a good while trying to find a pitch and eventually settled at the very back of the site. The orange juntion boxes serve 12 pitches and EHU is a mix of euro approved 3 pin and 2 pin connections reverse polarity connections (not great!!!) but we had the connector required, but be aware that hook up cables are running across the site so try not to drive over them! Once we were settled and had calmed down we found the facilites clean and plentiful..there are 4 large toilet blocks, but they are busy. Chem waste was clean and easy to use. Water and waste point at the front caused a queue so time it well. Restuarant out front was good as was the beer. This is the only campsite really so they have the market, but really cd be so much better. We would still recommend it though, but time your arrival for 1-2pm at the latest. The walk into town was 2miles, but there is a land train that runs from front of site for 4 euro per adult and 2.50 per child.

We stayed here for three nights but it was after heavy rainfall so a big part of the site had been cornered off as it was so wet. However we found a lovely pitch and after a couple of days the ground had dried sufficiently for them to mow the grass and it became much more presentable. Loved our stay here and loved the area. Nice facilities, free wifi all over the site. Would recommend.

Really enjoyed our two night stay at this site. Spacious pitches and clean facilities. Fast wifi and good coverage. The only downside for us was that there was a new girl on reception who wanted to charge us €4 a night for EHU. We decided against it not knowing that it was included in our acsi price, and only found out when we paid to leave.

Our experiences of Camp Bled are very different; we were allocated a spot - it was not a free for all and although the pitch numbers were a little difficult to see, it was all very organised. Perhaps they have got their act together. Despite the size of the site and commercial feel to it, it was actually a great place to stop for a couple of nights and we found it peaceful and such a great spot for access to the lake and its local attractions. The toilet blocks are great, with excellent showers, heat and pressure and a bread van comes around the site each morning. There are restaurants and a supermarket at the entrance if you want it, although deep into the heart of the site and you don't really know it's there. Vintgar Gorge is worth going to only €4 pp - we cycled, although probably took the difficult route because of the Triathlon that was on. The Castle is expensive €10 pp. If you're in the area, do take the 30 mins to drive or camp up at Lake Bohinj, which is bigger and quieter - very nice.

Great base for a few days. Well placed site, if you want to explore the area on foot/bike although Bled is quite a walk back from the site. We did not do it but estimate it could have taken 40-60 mins. Roads can be a bit twisty and narrow( as you might expect in this landscape). The entrance at the head of the lake and an early morning walk to the lake is magical, water is clear and inviting. We walked around the lake from the site and as it is quite hilly the views are stunning. We arrived early evening and were also were told " chose any pitch". This is a big site with a lot of pitches on either side of the main road through and up on different levels. There are a lot of trees offering shade. We decided to drive around and had the choice of 12-15 pitches- we got one that gave early sun and late shade. We would not have liked to arrive at the same time as a few others or it would have been quite stressful choosing a pitch- as some others had not pitched with care to allow manoeuvring.
We ate in the restaurant on site and it was good value and we sat on the terrace with the dog - no problem. The bread van in morning had tasty treats.
Washroom/showers are plentiful and clean. Reception staff spoke English and were helpful, lots of tourists information is available.
We got a discount on pitch fee for being members of CCC.

Excellent sanitary block but pitches are poor. The reception staff were very helpful and just said "pick a spot". This was easier said than done because people had just 'abandoned' their caravans and motorhomes at every conceivable angle. This made it impossible to work out where anyone should have been and the result was loads of vehicles crawling around the site trying to find a spot. The sanitary blocks were excellent which makes the debacle over pitches even more puzzling. There was also deep rutting in several areas so getting bogged in might be quite easy. The site is perfect for Lake Bled which is right on the doorstep.

The first time we used this site it was really packed and you couldnt move, we vowed never again but we needed a stop another year when in the area after a lo g drive so we thought we would give it another try. It was much better the next time and was a lot better. Showers were clean, wifi was available free near reception. Its right on the lake so perfect location. One thing you will need is an extra ehu lead because a lot of the pitches are a long way from the post.
