we had a ehu pitch overlooking the valley. toilet block ok, didn't use the showers.View all reviews by travelswitharnie
weather was dreadful the day we were here, so didn't attempt to walk into Lynmouth!
staff were very friendly and helpful.
Not for us, very caravan club and impersonal. Campsite part of a chain. On the upside, great walks nearby and the lovely smily girl at reception could not have been nicer. Strict 2pm checkin and 10.30am checkout do not lend well for one nighters. Facilities adequate. Pub next door dreadful, rudest manager in history and awful food.View all reviews by Billythecamper
This is a nice site with good tiolet/shower and washing up facilities. Good laundry room with iron etc. A very quiet site but most pitches are sloping. Motorhomes with ehu don't get a view of the sea but the fields are lovely. The walk into Lynmouth is extremely challenging. We did it and were given 2 taxi numbers by reception to call and have a taxi back. NO TAXIS AVAILABLE on a Sunday afternoon and no bus so we had to walk back which was even more challenging. That said, it was good exercise. After our long walk back we decided to have tea in the pub next door. THEY DON'T DO FOOD ON A SUNDAY. Never mind, however they don't do food on a Monday either.View all reviews by JackieD
DON'T USE PORLOCK HILL. VERY STEEP.
Never actually made it to the site! Tried to get there from A39 from Simonsbath and got my 6.7M motorhome stuck on a hairpin bend on the way up. Very scarey reverse and turn to go back down! Phoned site to make the booking and didn’t any email confirmation that would have hopefully provided direction info? It may well be an easier approach from the other way but i certainly wouldn’t advise it from Simonsbath.View all reviews by adipet
This our second visit this year, lovely site though it can be a bit windy. Shower and WC are in good clean condition, if starting to get a bit dated.View all reviews by hotrodgang
Dog walk on site.
Smashing pub next door, great food and beer, very friendly.
If your’re into walking you can’t go wrong, we walked from site to the Blue Ball pub at the top of Countisbury hill for lunch, via Watersmeet, then down to Lynmouth, up the Funicular Railway to Lynton, then walked to Lynbridge and back up via the footpath back to site.
Lynton & Lynmouth both have motorhome parking places.
Wild camping also at Valley Of The Rocks (parking charges).
Small site with lovely pub next door. Sone pitches slightly sloping. Facilities dated and tired but clean and functional. Plenty hot water. Grass pitches but solid underneath. Gravel road. Moho service area. Dog shower. Lovely walks from site but be aware that some paths are very steep. To get anywhere will involve going up and down hills so may not be suitable for anyone with reduced mobility. Some designated parking for mohos in car parks in Lynmouth and Lynton but overnighting not permitted.View all reviews by hugsi

If your into walking from a site, this is for you.
We walked from here to the top of Countisbury Hill, pub lunch, then down to Lynmouth, cliff railway up to Lynton, then back to the site. Its around 9 miles, some hard going at times. Great pub nextdoor to the site, dog freindly in all areas of the pub.
Site toilets are in need of a upgrade. Would stay again.
Sloping pitch. There were no flat pitches on our field. Nice views. Very tired facilities. Gents far worse than the ladies. Very demanding walk into LynmouthView all reviews by conniecotswold
Stayed for 3 nights, friendly staff, pub next door serves nice beer and food, there was walks to Lynton but hilly so we drove to Lynton, parking not a problem there as designated motor home baysView all reviews by janegould2000
Nicely situated site with some pitches having fabulous views. On a bad day it might be a bit windy though. Clean functional facilities and on-site shop with decent pub next the entranceView all reviews by harv
