We stayed here recently, parked in a position that took in views of the beach and out to sea. As mentioned in previous reviews the location can get very windy at times, but we would recommend this does not put you off visiting this place. There are nice walks to take in, which can take you to both natural and historical sites. The local shop sells most items you may require and the dog friendly pub a short distance further up the road Serves food all day.

Fresh water & toilets available.

The ‘information sheet’ shown in some other reviews & posted at the location references casssette emptying, but the toilet block has signs & cctv warning against this.
There is a manhole cover that looks possible but I didn’t need to try it.

An email to the addr on the info sheet went unanswered.

Minimum suggested donation is £10 per night.

Super beach about 10 mins walk away, and a small shop/newsagent too.

The parking area is fairly wild in a storm, check wind direction before parking for the night.

Nice night a bit windy but nice walk on thr beach. Moved back to the wind for overnight. Water and toilets available. Put £10 in the box help to keep such a nice spot open. Good hotel with great food at the top of the road. LPG to be found 10 miles away in Ellon. Cliff walk up to a castle. Nice and flat parking. 20 mph speed bumps on the road down.

Lovely place if a little windy! Had an enjoyable circular walk up to the castle and back to the village. We followed this with lunch in the dog friendly pub, good meal at a reasonable price. Would recommend a visit.

Have been here a few times now (in summer) and has always been a good night but beware if it is very windy as the wind funnels into the harbour and it became a very noisy night. Would return but not the end of October in gales. Toilets open until dusk. Donation suggested £10 (post your money in an envelope marked with van registration in the honesty box).

Excellent location. Toilets closed when we visited but water was available from the tap. Car park was quite busy with cars even in February.

Great location, a bit exposed on the harbour front due to a bad storm that came through. Spent 2 nights here, well worth the £10 per night donation. Please encourage this location by making sure you put your donation in the box. Toilet open again to allow Elsan dump. Water freely available. Easy access for beach walks with the dogs. Highly recommended stop over.

Great place to stop. Lovely views. Water and Toilet available. Request of donations of £10 for each night in the honesty box. Sadly some users did not leave a donation which is a shame because if this continues the facility may not remain available in future. Max 3 nights stay, we stayed for 2 nights and had to hunker down for one day because of bad weather.

Excellent position overlooking Cruden Bay, quiet night with no disturbances. There are supposed to be toilets and Elsan emptying points but even in June these were locked which was disappointing. There is a suggested donation of £10 per night (honesty box).

Peaceful & beautiful, water is available but unfortunately the toilets currently are not. (Hence we only put £5 in box), however there are public toilets only 100yds up the road which I used to empty cassette without any problem. A lovely location for an overnight stop.

Lovely spot in the harbour, parking on the the sea wall with beautiful sea views. Long sandy beach for walking, and about a kilometre to the nearest pub. Water tap, but no other facilities - toilets were locked (March 17). Great stop.
