A convenient place to stop if you want to see Volendam. It was quite quiet when we stayed with only about 6 motorhomes. There is a service point but you have to look for it as at first glance it's just another pitch.View all reviews by billoreilly
Cash is collected in the evening.
We luckily got the best spot on the site right in the corner a riverside spot. Lovely town good cycling to the Edam also Simon ho cheese and clog tour close by just off site is a lovely walk along the seafront. Lots to do in the area also food shopping is available in the harbour hotel fresh bread. The guy comes for payments quite late on in the evening. Good quite stopover. A big thank you to the harbour hotel who excepted a parcel for use and phoning us when it arrived very helpful staff.View all reviews by jilly
one space left and too tight for my unit, plus all where out taking space with chairs and tables, which they can. dumped our black waste and popped into adjacent free carpark which many others were already. short walk to small beach and into marina with resturants. worth a night stop but that's about it. town of Edam looked ok but due to our arrival time looked closed.View all reviews by paul99qa
Lovely site close to very pretty town. Also cycled to Edam about 2 miles away.View all reviews by jaynep
Great, quiet waterside position easy walk to bars, restaurants and shops. Loos only available when marina office openView all reviews by mamaj81
Site as well described by previous reviews is still 14 euros incl electric. You get a full 24 hours for that price. There were only five other vans here at our visit & we watched the sunset over the windmill & all the lambs grazing in the field.Quite Idyllic really & a stark contrast to last night at Amsterdam City Camp. Level pitches, dogs welcome, site lighting & barriers. Local bars & sushi bar in the marina complex. All new build & upmarket. Think we'll give this one a10.View all reviews by vivagibbo
Third time here for us as we love the town and harbour and we also wanted to take the boat ride to Marken which we missed out on last time.View all reviews by admin
We arrived around 11 am to luckily find one of the pitches facing the brook where there is space in front of your pitch for your table and chairs and you get lovely sunset view of the windmill.
Electricity is included in the price of 14€ but the site now has all the other usual waste disposal facilities which were not present last time we visited
The boat ride at 10€ each return was worth the effort and Marken is a lovely little village so was an enjoyable way of passing a few hours.
A lovely aire with unusual facilities as it only has electric (included in the price) but no water or waste disposal facilities (although I believe you can use the facilities in the Marina). The aire is situated at the far end of the Marina in a lovely quiet location. The pitches are grass with reinforcement and are designed to hold two vans each. Each pitch is bordered with hedges making for a more camp-site feel rather than a car park type aire. The pitches at the back have lovely views towards the windmill with lovely sunsets. An agent calls for the money early evening. The town of Volendam is about a 1km away and has lovely bars and restaurants plus plenty of souvenir shops but has also managed to keep its olde world charm despite being a tourist hotspot. There are plenty of seafood stalls selling lovely take out food, plus there are boat trips out to Marken. There is a big supermarket in town where you can get any supplies you need. Highly recommended stopoverView all reviews by admin
