Lucky to obtain the last official motorhome spot but the harbour staff managed to squeeze another couple of units on to an unused area of carpark, without compromising comfort. Very helpful staff and fantastic facilities. The town is well worth a visit with a lightship and a steam powered tug (both free to visit). There is a steam railway that runs between Hoorn and Medemblik, excellent buffet car. Many historic and modern vessels in marina. View not good as tucked in behind harbour office.View all reviews by easylifer
We were lucky enough to get a space here a great location, it is very close to the town, we didn’t go in the Castle but you can find the path and the corner of The carpark on the houses side and walk around the petting Zoo then up around the Castle. Then if you walk along the top road it leads you to the second marina and the walk to the sea, and steam museum, you can do a round walk back to the Pekelharinghaven BV. This walk is beautiful there is a small restaurant along this walk.View all reviews by jilly
Great location, it's tucked in the back of a car park for the harbour master / local restaurant on top of the harbour showers block, literally has the harbour on one side and the inland lake on the other, very close to children's petting town farm, we tried to stay here Aug 15, it was full and no one was taking notice of the 3 nights maximum that one of the guide books mentioned , medemblik is great town, 10 mins walk round the harbour,View all reviews by jemabarr
