A free overnight location at a Cheese and Clog making shop, we were treated to a personal tour and clog making demo as there was no one else around when we arrived which was bit surprising as it was Easter Bank Holiday. The demo was excellent and we learned quite a bit we never knew about the history of clogs. The staff are lovely and are most welcoming. We bought our obligatory Dutch clogs and cheese from here purely because the service was so good.View all reviews by admin
There is plenty of parking for about 5 vans during the day but vans are allowed to stay in the car spaces when the shop is closed (17:00 - 09:30) There are toilets available during shop opening hours.
It is a short bike ride to the lovely fishing village of Volendam with plenty of shops bars and restaurants, and where you can get some superb takeaway fish food.
Although we didn’t stop the night, we would have no hesitation in recommending this location.
