This is a great site very close to the Centre of Amsterdam. We cycled into the main area in 15 minutes. As stated before there's a bohemian feel to the place but don't be put off, it is very clean and very well run with a nice bar and restaurant on-site. As a site for the centre it is very good. It is £34 a night for EHU + 2 person. in high season which finished the day we left. Give it a go.View all reviews by JanieB
Arrived at 19:00 and got the last spot, so if you cant get here earlier or are a large unit i would book. Although busy, showers were clean and always available. Very friendly staff, bar is lovely with log fire. Bikes and canoes available to hire. Herb bed available to use, outside communal kitchen which has microwaves and hot plates. Pricey, but city centre camping usually is. Security on site is good. Launch spot for boats, so very close to lake edge (which does make it chilly when the wind blows)View all reviews by jakes
Ok honest review. Take away the visitors and vans and you have a well set up site, great mini shop, fresh criossants, bar, restuarant etc. The older main shower block is ok and the showers are hot. There is a fantastic new block with superb showers and loos. A bike is great as lovely shopping areas nearby for food nearby. Amsterdam on the tram was relitively easy, watch out for tram stop; its on a narrow path, roads either side - quite dangerous for kids. Not so good bits - if you’re a glasto type then you’ll love the “scooby do” film set vibe and the young “music festival” clientelle type roughing it in tents and ever present smell of dope. Pitches a bit unkempt and rough.View all reviews by jonnymc2
Great location. We hired bikes from the campsite to ride into the city centre everyday. They have a new toilet and shower block, and very clean! Great campsite foe younger people, it had a very hostel vibe.View all reviews by 123roxanne123
Cracking little site well placed to visit Amsterdam or just sit and chill if you like. Compact and neatly laid out. Friendly helpful staff. The campsite shop is small but very well stocked. Clean and modern toilet/shower block, including toilet paper (unlike many European sites)!View all reviews by woledneps

Easy access into Amsterdam itself via tram stop very clise to campsite.
Pitches quite well spaced out
Lovely site for an Amsterdam stopover. 20-30 minute bike ride into Amsterdam. Close to tram stop. Use of local swimming pool. Very chilled feel to the site. Brand new lovely shower block recently built.View all reviews by trevs1004

What a great site! €15 a night full facilities inc Wi-Fi, secure.Camping car pitches are hard standing with EHU water taps at end of row. Toilets and showers plenty and spotlessy clean. Located outside city centre but easy 10 min walk to Flevopark tram stop. 96 hrs travel card €22. Boat and bike hire available too.
The site is having renovations done so there is daytime noise but quiet at night. I can imagine the site is busy and noisy at peak times. Lots of info on website.
We stopped for a couple of nights at the end of August.... perfectly placed for a tram to Amsterdam. Very busy site - tents squeezed in everywhere - and a very young vibe. Expect some noise! Lake was a bit manky and the site was generally dirty (but very busy and there were people cleaning up - bit of a battle I'd say). Fresh bread and croissants in the morning, on site cafe/restaurant (seemed popular).View all reviews by chalkstorm
We visited mid August and the site was extremely busy, the vast majority of visitors appeared to be the backpacking younger community, which isn't a problem just an observation when we visited. Due to the high season and amount of people the facilities especially the showers where stretched and long queues would form mid morning, if you got to them at 7.30am straight after they were cleaned it was fine then. Still a good site in an ideal location for visiting Amsterdam.View all reviews by dmw371
We spent 3 nights here with our VW camper. The site is lovely not massive but quite busy, there are lots of different accommodation and site types. The restaurant/bar serves good food and breakfast at a reasonable cost. The shower and toilet blocks are clean although hand basins are limited to the main block. There are animals and a playground and the lake for children. Kayaks and bikes are available to hire. The site is close to the tram station which takes you to Amsterdam or you can cycle, which takes approx 20mins but beware cycle theft is high especially of good quality bikes around major tourist areas, make sure you lock them to something substantial.View all reviews by wineandrugby
