I found this site to be in a lovely rural setting along the banks of the River Wye. Stayed here for 4 nights with my dog, brilliant on lead designated dog walk plus a lovely one along the side of the river and just across the road from the site is a wonderful woodland walk.View all reviews by debhousehold
Large well spaced out pitches in a natural setting with lots of mature trees all around.
All facilities catered for regarding water & disposal points.
The three toilet blocks were good as was the coffee shop and bar with a small shop next to it.
Will definitely be returning!
This is a beautiful site located in a tranquil setting on the banks of the River Wye. The site itself is kept immaculate and has a mature garden feel to it. Three toilet blocks give ample facilities even when full. The reception staff were very helpful. A nice (on-lead only) dog walk but a footpath outside the site leads to an entry into the woods across the road where dogs can run freely for miles. The on-site bar is quite pleasant and the food served is good value and well presented.View all reviews by onlyjen
We stayed midweek in August and we had a hardstanding pitch with electric, two adults for £29. Its a lovely well kept site on the banks of the river Wye. Great for kayaks and you can hire canoes direct from the bottom of the site. There is an onsite cafe which we used and had good meals (lasagne and scampi).View all reviews by soosiesmith
There is a well used play area. The showers/toilets are very clean and plenty of them. Definitely recommend and we will return.
We have visited this campsite many times and it gets better. The shrubs and planting throughout the site are a delightView all reviews by saysomething77
The onsite café and shop are excellent but recommend booking at weekends as the site can get busy.
Lovely walks directly from the site to Fownhope and in the woods across the road. Great for Kayaks as the river Wye
runs adjacent to the site.
An absolute gem of a site.View all reviews by daveled
The 10 mile route from the M50 is easy even with our 9M unit. Reception staff were extremely helpful and leave you to sort yourself out after checking in but no doubt if you need any help they would be only too willing to assist.
Good site for families although direct access to fairly fast flowing river may need some consideration but good play areas and the canoe centre is based at the top end to rent kayaks.
There is a bar / restaurant on site which is popular .
Perfect few days, great location and plenty of woods around for walking, dog friendly and staff are great and can't do enough for you. Made to feel welcome, even encouraged to park up first and sort out the paperwork afterwards. Greeted outside as we arrived, can't fault this site. Kayak is essential or hire while there, miles of water to explore.View all reviews by pas7272
Lovely quiet site on the banks of the River Wye. In an area of low light pollution which is great for a dark night and star gazing. Bus stop for Hereford close by. So clean and well kept with lovely showers. Great walking nearby and the Green Man at Fownhope does very good foodView all reviews by www5455
