The Knaresborough Club Site is set in Lower Nidderdale and serves as a perfect gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and the many attractions of the North of England. The site is surrounded by mature trees and hedges and on fine days it is sunny yet well sheltered. Throughout the year, you can take advantage of the bar, restaurant and take away food on site, and the children can burn off their energy at the site's play area. |

Following the refurbishment, the site is now well laid out. Pitches are spacious and not over-crowded. Toilet facilities are good.View all reviews by IanPbo
We used the site restaurant, which was suprisingly good. Food was a reasonable standard, service was very good, and a good selection of drinks.
Only stayed overnight, so no time to check out the area.
My only criticism is the new Motorhome service point. Nice new large drain grid, but built on a slope in two directions. When I opened the valve nothing came out. As only overnight stop, closed valve and drove off, but predecessor had driven off with his open leaving a trail for more than a mile. With all the work done, it should have been levelled.

After a break of 10 years we revisited the newly refurbished site and its lovely. First visit mid week in early January, the site was quiet. We ate in the on site bistro and had a fantastic meal with attentive staff in pleasant surroundings. Our second visit, in April with our grandchildren, the site was extremely busy. Again we ate in the bistro, however the staff were not the same ones as in January. The wardens and assistants on both occasions were extremely pleasant and helpful too.View all reviews by upperthongwanderers

I’d recommend booking well in advance, especially if you want to stay at the weekend. The site was completely full when we stayed in January. Besides the on-site bistro, there is another pub quite close by in the local village. We didn’t eat there, but the menu looked good. Great walking in the area and access to off- road cycle routes.View all reviews by jeffm

We were pleasantly surprised with the standard of cleanliness throughout the site, noticed staff going around early in the morning emptying bins, tidying grounds and other facilities. The on-site restaurant was staffed with pleasant hard working people who had a smile for everyone, ask them a question about food and they’ll go and ask chef if they’re not sure - and yes, the tartare sauce is made in house - delicious. Not a lot going on at the site but there’s a 5 minute walk to Nidd Gorge, there’s a 1 3/4 mile walk into Knaresborough, easy access to buses about 70m from site entrance.View all reviews by belpergirl

Usual standard of CAMC site but added bonus of bar/restaurant on site which serves gastro pub meals at normal gastro pub prices, large portions excellent value. Attached to restaurant are additional toilet/shows which are immaculate (and should be as only opened a few months. Reasonable location for touring area but not a lot in immediate vacinity.View all reviews by paulmold

this is a tidy little site but it was a bit further out of town that I originally thought so it was a taxi from the pub back. It has a bar and restaurant on site which is handy but there is little else in walking distance. It is also know to flood in heavy rain. The facilities are up to the usual club standardView all reviews by eddie889
