Newlands is well set out with good facilities although when we visited in mid September the site was quiet and bar etc had little activity.View all reviews by jimcampbell
Hourly bus service from gate to Lyme Regis and Bridport. Not Sundays in winter (mid sept).
Only a short walk into Charmouth and access to the Jurassic Coast.
Stayed for two nights mon & tues. charmouth itself and the beach was beautiful and the campsite is ‘a short stroll’ from the beach if you are able bodied however it may be more of a struggle for older/less able people. we paid for premium hardstanding which was perfectly flat and conveniently located to showers/toilets/bar etc. Slightly too close to neighbours for my liking. Bar was nice and the food was good too. I had the steak pie which although slightly pricey the quality was good. Friendly memebers of staff. The downside personally of this site is the road noise which really was quite loud - maybe the wind was blowing in the wrong direction but at night it was clearly audible.View all reviews by jtox369
Good site with gravel pitch and all services. Well kept site with games room, bar with food and small indoor pool which had an extra charge. It was only a short walk to Charmouth beach. Would visit again but the view wasn’t that good.View all reviews by jackieturner99
Nice site with levelled hard standing pitches, terraced, all with views towards the sea. £20 with ehu and up to 6 people. Indoor pool extra. Nice bar, we didn't eat there as weather so beautiful we cooked ourselves.View all reviews by karenbh
A great Easter break and a lovely site, good pitch with lovely views there is plenty to do here with a heated indoor pool and Jacuzzi ( £2 extra charge), the out door pool wasn't open until May, club room and amusements for the children. Well kept grounds with great facilities shower block and toilets. Great location 10-15 min walk to Charmouth Beach and 10-15 min drive to West Bay (Broadchurch location) and Lyme Regis, bus service runs outside the park. We will definitely be back.View all reviews by terasa
used this site as a 'half way home' from Cornwall site, just for 1 night. Terraced good sized pitches (although they dont really allow for more than 8m mohos) a fair amount of road noise from the A35, but not too over bearing. Good bar and play area, clean pool (but very small and extra costs) Charmouth itself is a 10min walk away and has a great heritage fossil centre which is free (donations welcomed) Probably wdnt return to Newlands as there are 3-4 sites closer into Charmouth and away from the road noise. As a stop off it was good at £20 for a family of 4. no real complaintsView all reviews by teaboat1973
We stayed here as part of motorhome rally. All of the pitches were gravel and we had water and waste as well as EHU on the pitch. The site is terraced and can be a bit exposed. The toilet and shower facilities are of a high standard as is the bar restaurant. It is a half mile down hill walk to the village of Charmouth. Buses stop outside to Lyme Regis .View all reviews by comanche
Excellent site for families of all ages.A short walk to the jurassic coast to search for fossils.A heated indoor pool at an extra charge, which is a shame if you have kids and they want to go there every day.Large trees around the site so be careful where you,re parked if you have a satellite dish ! good entertainment provided for the evenings if you like that or just chill around the barby. Our grandkids loved it and found loads to keep them interested.top siteView all reviews by mid4did
